  1. No offense to the ladies there. They don't know the products and shouldn't man the phones for such questions.
  2. Did I miss anything and any other owners have thoughts?
  3. Hmmm... that like over $6,000 in ammo alone. That would buy 3-4 new pistols and might be the case instead of hitting 50k rounds with one.
  4. I took it to the range the other day and it shot perfect. In shooting it though I started to notice the differences and think I like the old style better. The hammer is thicker on the front face (firing pin side). Were the old style hammers breaking? The rear sight blade is laid back and to me a little harder to work with. Why did they go away from the LPA? This beavertail is more flat out instead of curled like the old one. What was the issue changing that? My last peeve is a hump at the back of the grip area that sticks into my lower thumb on every shot. I have no idea why they bulged the back out there! Out of those three differences I found, only the rear bulge bothers me and nothing you can do about it.
  5. Yes. The couple I have seen have removable plates to make the attachment. Is their one that gets the nod as being the best?
  6. I guess this is the general section for all makes. Looking for some top 5 suggestions to look at. Thanks!
  7. Yup. Competition frame is different than standard. LOK is working on the standard panels now. Be on the lookout!
  8. This pistol has some history. I purchased it used and the sight eventually wasn't holding elevation. I then tried Red Loctite and it would move after I bumped it good. Rather than get a new sight, I put a Henning fixed on it. Solved that problem! It was always a little off for my shooting distance and I wanted another adjustable. It had to be a positive lock design, which this one is. I think the old Super Sight adjustment screw knurling was wore down causing the issue. EAA would only sell a new sight and no parts. You can get all the parts for this one including the screw!
  9. Finally got it fit on tonight! I guess I had about 1.5 hours in fitting time. Hopefully it holds position good!
  10. I feel bad for him. He tried Henning's panels and didn't care for the feel. Any other options out there to fit the Match frame?
  11. Nothing from Kensight as of today, but the member here got back with me. He is using this one: https://www.brownells.com/handgun-parts/sights/rear-sights/lpa-cut-1911-rear-sight-sku100002638-23299-49259.aspx?cm_mmc=cse-_-Itwine-_-shopzilla-_-100-002-638&utm_medium=cse&utm_source=connexity&utm_campaign=itwine&utm_content=100-002-638&avad=avant&aid=18449&cm_mmc=affiliate-_-Itwine-_-Avantlink-_-ale&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=Avantlink&utm_content=NA&utm_campaign=Itwine
  12. Here is the drawing and I confirmed I have the old Super Sight cut on my Hunter. Just waiting for the part number they tell me to go with.
  13. I have a thread here on it too and sent the member a PM that put them on. No response... must be busy. Anyway... I e-mailed the contact I have at Kensight and just so happen to have gotten my response today: Hey Jesse, Happy New Year! I’m sorry for the delay but we may be able to help with this one. Tanfoglio used to use LPA, which makes sense because both manufactures are Italian. They stopped using LPA and switched to a sight made by SMS. I don’t know if they changed sight cuts when they changed suppliers. From the looks of the sight below, they didn’t. If that’s true, we have several rear sights that will fit. Please confirm if your sight looks like the one below. If it does, the drawing for the LPA sight cut is below, please compare the two. If you need the drawing in metric, I’ll convert it. I’m pretty confident that our LPA style rear sights will fit. Also, could you give me the size of the front dovetail? They are measured from front to the back, at its widest point (the bottom). If you can’t, I’ll do my best to find out the dimensions for you.
  14. I didn't have much luck with the Super Sights on my Hunter and went to a Henning fixed unit. If I'm thinking correctly, the Kensight has a different setup to hold elevation (biggest Super Sight issue). Anyone know what sight cut the Super Sight is to get close on the match? Would this LPA cut be the one? https://www.midwayusa.com/product/581014/kensight-adjustable-rear-sight-1911-lpa-trt-cut-steel-black-square-blade-fully-serrated
  15. I'm hoping to fit one of the fiber front sights to my Grand Power. Just wondering how this breaks down: 75 SERIES 1x5.75mm They have a bunch of designations!
