  1. I like the El Arroyo sign that said, "What if no one was president and we all just agreed to be nice." I fear voting with our wallets is the only way to create real change at the top. Only when the org is bankrupt can wholesale changes to the structure be made. (If your belief is that the problem isn't just the people but also the structure they operate within) Generally what do we want from a BOD and a Pres? thoughtful and consistent rulings about the sport honesty and clarity in communication financial transparency growth in match availability a rule set congruent with modern firearms and market forces
  2. I know I'd happily switch to 3 pouches on my belt, the first with a magnet. Versus the 5 I run now, also with a magnet on the first.
  3. Most people I know who are capital S serious about single stack will do this. You bring both set ups and decide when you've seen the stages. Also why for a time, 40sw 1911's were so popular. As you know.... My prod-15 experience is only in shooting it under the disguise of Lim minor to prepare for US IPSC Nats or actually at US IPSC Nats over the years. So I've done it on uspsa stages and ipsc stages. The only time you're screwed is if you're absolutley forced into an 8/8/8/8 set of arrays. Then having 16 in the gun and 15 in each mag seems just not quite enough.
  4. get a smoother undershirt, the thermal is too thick and textured. also make sure the unders#!t has a very tight fit and tucks in very well. you don't want this layer to bunch or move. since you need good access for the aiwb and you're shooting a match, make concessions for it. wear a different unders#!t as above. wear a single shirt on top of it, that works for your draw and reloads. (not for its warmth) then do two things. 1. do "extra" all the other places to stay warm there. foot warmers, scarf, hat, chemical warmers in all you pockets, electric gloves and so on. but don't add or layer anything that would mess up your gear set up. 2. wear a coat and an overcoat that are in such a way you ditch them as part of your load and make ready. use the 'extra'w warmth from the other stuff to prepare you for the next 2 minutes without your coats, heated vest, thermal and extra shirt. as you've found, tons of layers complicates the aiwb process. or just accept it, make smaller modifications and hope everyone else is suffering the same amount with a commensurate effect on their score. this comes from shooting in 30 degrees in Arkansas and teaching ccw style classes in similar temps in Texas winters.
  5. This is what happens when you get more than a token salary and have zero oversight.
  6. Anyone care to revise their predictions now that we're a month out?
  7. Sold my 1050 a while ago, so I'm stuck w factory ammo. So I don't have to buy a box, test it, buy a box and test it over and over again...... Has anyone shot the PCC specific Federal 130gr Syntech out of say a Shadow 2? I know the box says 1,100 fps out of a standard blow back pcc w 16" barrel, but what did it chrono out of your pistol? Did it have issues feeding or chambering like I've seen the 150gr have in Shadow 2's? Anything else you wanna say about it? (I mistakenly bought the purple HST equivalent stuff and I'd prefer not to shoot 156pf ammo at matches....)
  8. I think his orignal disdain, for lack of a better word, was how multi gun for uspsa was being ran and promoted. Also the loud, true or not, voices saying they hate shotgun in 3 gun. So he created a alternative where a 556 gun, a pcc and the pistols most people have could do something in most bays. They shoot it at a few clubs here in TX but they are all too far away from me, or I'd give it a shot.
  9. I could get behind that if they took away some of the modifications
  10. Thinking about it, in Prod I go to the start normally with 61 rounds on me. In CO it was 70 rounds. Just need a lot more hand motion to access it hahaha. And it was great advice given to me by a gm forum member to de-prioritize the reload and emphasize the shooting efficiency. This was a paradigm shift as I really used to plan "where is my reload" in Prod. Now I plan what I hope is the most efficient way through the stage and fit the reloads into that. Rather than vice-versa.
  11. And did Lena ever finish this high in pcc at nats?
  12. Nice to see Crazy Legs make an appearance again
  13. Well we were all good about picking first for pcc and open, not so good second and third. hahaha.
  14. With the options being either 10 or 15, I went ahead and voted for 15 this time around. Interesting that it looks like it could go into being Jan 1. Also, "but I'd have to spend more money" aka sunk cost, is a logical fallacy. It's not a good reason for making decisions.
  15. As a Texas guy Cory k was an emotional pick. Matt H will carry the flag, I didn't see his name when I scanned. Eric S could definitely bring some Open magic.
  16. I use the thick in my shadow 2s. The thin is worthless for me. Tried them in my older sp01 guns and they were not helpful.
  17. And with my medical nightmare of the past 15 months, I'll predict myself 55th overall in Prod. Sad face.
  18. It hurts me no little bit to type it, but I wish there was a limited optics super squad.
  19. I hate to say this, but they probably should make a limited optics super squad at handgun nats
  20. Koppi can't win revo if he's shooting Prod. We're in the same squad.
  21. He wouldn't be the first to have changed divisions from when I looked at practiscore 2 weeks ago
  22. He's who'd I'd pick. The one year Josh Lentz got me at ipsc nats still hurts
  23. There are definitely players I don't know, so that's why I like this kind of post. Especially as I haven't been "on the scene" in a few years
