  1. I'm a little lost on power factors and all the comp talk, but I just did an experiment for my kid cousin where I started at the min load for my 220gr bullets and worked south until a barely cycled and the lightest loads were like a paintball gun vs any fire arm I have ever shot. For my Stock XD that worked out to be 3.3gr of WSF in large primer Winchester brass using federal large pistol mag primers. That load won't cycle my buddies glock or my wife's hk though.
  2. Also, in reference to my last post. I did the math wrong in my head. Sorry about the bad post.
  3. My interest in HM is that it seems more fun, and more skill based. The other classes all seem to rely heavily on fancy hand loads, speed loaders, expensive as all hell guns and massive magazines. I'm not discounting skill, but from experience, I know that learning to shoot fast and accurate with a .223 is much easier than with a .308.
  4. My wife hates it, but she's at least understanding.
  5. Sorry, I'm in South Commifornia.
  6. I'll trade you a pile of .40 and 9mm for your .45 and 2.23! I police the BLM are I shoot at after a day and let everyone else know I'll clean their brass too. I have trash cans full of brass I don't shoot.
  7. It's all good man. I've been jumped by coaches and blocks for flagging or being unsafe a dozen or so times. Every time I could have sworn I was doing everything right and being safe. It all part of the game! Thanks for the tips though!
  8. Fire extinguisher. This has saved my life about 10 times now. Seriously, like buildings on fire we may die, or the truck with the increments in it is on fire. Increments are the tiny charges used to shoot mortars, an are god awfully flammable. A bad fart will set them off.
  9. How would a .30 or larger wildcat round be judged? I'm asking because 1) I'm really new to this, and 2) I own a 5.56 AR, a mossy pump, and an XD .45 all iron, and I'm way to broke to buy optics or new guns. I Can shoot a round that's just as powerful or more as your .308 Win, why does my parent case matter? I've seen .300 AAC mag loads that are close to the power of a NATO round. Seems like the intent (very important when rules are being made) was for a full power cartridge to be run. How would a bullpup conversion be handled? Would that be disallowed because its easier to to target switches with?
