Is it possible to take a gun that runs 38 super comp and convert it to 9 major?

Looking to switch from running an Open Glock to a 2011 style pistol.

What's better to use for an Open gun. I've always ran 9 major and never worked with the .38. Some advice would be great! Thanks.
