  5. Now just where is your sense of adventure? Seems like your only getting half of the sport if your gear is not aggravating you no end. I don’t shoot a lot of 3-Gun (yet) so am getting by with my Rem 1100 CM. I have shot a metric s**t ton of Skeet with another 1100 and when I throw the Competition Master up to my cheek it is just like spooning with my favorite gal, it just feels right. Well maybe not that good but you get the point. A good pointing (for you) shotgun is a wonderful thing. I will live with the funny looks from my fellow competitors, who I know are laughing behind my back at my old-skoolness running a CM but they ain’t paying my fees or buying my guns. I would like to have a VersaMax but will have to save my pennies (and run my good shooting CM) for now. Oh, did I mention how well the old CM shoots slugs? Now will be the best time to pick up a Versa max due to their rebate. I did! I also owned a Rem 1100 which was the Tac 4 model dumped it quick to get the Versa during the rebate. +1 its what i did with my 930. they have some nice prices on Grab-a-gun and with the rebate you really cant go wrong.
  6. +1 on what duk said Also thanks for all the replies. i ended up back at the range today and it was way better than last time. So i ended up adjusting the shims and moved the stock up and to the left. which seems to have done the trick. I feel with a couple more range trips to get used to the new shotty it should be all good.
  7. Thanks for all the replies i plan on seeing how it does this weekend and if its still no good. i m sending it back to Remington i ll do you a favor and get rid of it so no one has to deal with it
  8. So i picked up a brand new Versa Max 26" synthetic and was very excited to shoot it took it out to the trap range to dust some clays, but found myself missing more than a good portion of them... I just recently sold a Mossberg 930 (so that i could pick up this new Versa Max) that i owned and i had no problems hitting clays with that thing. So i found this very stange and decided i would shoot some paper to see where the POI was... and found out why i was missing so many clays... This thing shot low right, like really right. I was a little disappointed because the Mossberg shot perfect out of the box and i expected a $1k gun to do the same... after shooting the paper i went back to clays and aimed high and to the left and was able to hit them no problem, but this kind of annoyed me that i had to tell myself to aim that way... I didnt think of adjusting the shim when i was at the range but when i was at the range so when i got home i did so i m waiting to see how it will do this weekend. My question: Is it normal that i have to adjust the shim on this thing because the Mossberg i didnt have to adjust anything. If adjusting the shims doesnt work i might just send it back to Remington...
