Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Well, dad's gun is old as is (25ish) and has had good wear on it. However, the only time I've had issues feeding was when we used tulammo steel cased target ammo.
  2. Yes I meant mag release... My bad
  3. I'm fine with releasing the slide overhand, but I hate slide release with my trigger finger.
  4. There is one range near my house (15 min) that holds IPSC matches weekly. First Match is free, all after that is $15 regardless of age. $10 if you help set up. No rental for competition...
  5. I don't like his gun, because nothing is ambi on it and I'm a lefty... May just buy something used. Anyone got a gun they would sell for 230 shipped lol?
  6. I may just get the equipment to go with my dad's forty... It'd be a cheaper way to start! And I'm a lefty so yeah... Left handed equipment is (probably) harder to find...
  7. Well my dad's theory is: you get the money and tell me what to buy... So I do plan on mowing lawns this summer. Hopefully this time next year I will have the equipment.
  8. I have been kinda thinking about getting a Glock 34 or 17... I have a belt that can support a weapon but its not a gun belt. As far as ammo goes if it wet an AR match is be good, as I have a military surplus ammo belt for m-4/16 mags. I got it for airsoft an have used it 2 times... It will securely hold a pistol though. Just not pistol mags.
  9. I don't reload, the only gun that would possibly work is my dad's S&W .40, but I don't like it. For it we have a little flap of cloth that holds the gun (loosely) and 2 10rd mags. I would prefer to get a 9mm something, but because I'm 14 I gots no money...
  10. Well he's not an American, but you get the point http://www.brianenos.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/goof.gif I have also honestly thought about showing up at my local match with a cap and ball revolver too for giggles. I see this guy as an instant GM...
  11. Hey, I'm looking into USPSA style competition. I am new to competitive shooting an am wondering what the cheapest way to get started is. Any advice is great. Thanks in advance, Caleb
  12. That's be great, but I'm 14! Lol
  13. The nearest range that does things that fit my schedule is 45 min away... They do everything from IHMSA to USPSA monthly. I may check then out... Have to find out when the next USPSA/IPSC match is. For any in the GA area te range I'm talking about is Cherokee Gun Club. Thanks for the input. Also how many mags would you suggest? I know the G34 comes with 2 17rd mags, by would that be enough?
  14. Well like I say, left handed people are the only people in their right mind (right side of brain controls left side of body), but I'll have to look at that holster, what about other equipment? I've been looking at te cheapest stuff because I don't have much to work with... Any suggestions?
