  1. How did the 5.0, 5.1, and 5.2 work out?
  2. Love mine. A buddy and I ordered at the same time and split the shipping costs. I have had no issues with shells shifting or falling out on the run. Its really easy to rotate the belt to your back if you have to go prone. Depending on stage design I usually can get away with running a few slugs on the far left with room for normal shot...
  3. I think the STI platform is the way to go for limited but agree with others that you need to reload your own ammo as they are finicky.......
  4. I'm using Red as I think its brighter on a sunny day and really stands out for me.
  5. Look at the platform assembly diagram. The black block needs to be on the appropriate side for rifle (small slide). Its reversible depending on if you are loading rifle or pistol. If this is turned the wrong way it may cause what you are describing......
  6. Welcome. I have been shooting USPSA for just over a year now in the Nampa, Emmett, Idaho area. I have managed to get to 5 or 6 3-gun events at Parma as well and agree with you.....Love It!!!!
  7. I also have the 650 and run a power check on all of my tool heads...
  8. I prefer the Dawson. Like the way they attach and drop straight down without binding the spring.
  9. I voted other - blade-tech but just ordered the DAA for the stiffness and extra thickness. This belt will be used for USPSA. I planing to go with a Safariland for 3-gun down the road.
  10. Agree with go slow and have fun. I would try to squad with similar single stack shooters and It would nice if you had 5 mags....
  11. The attached link is an example on a 650. Will be two parts so about 15 min of video including working with the case feeder. These examples are more time intensive due to changing from a large caliber to small caliber without separate tool heads. I have complete tool heads set up for each caliber including powder check, and powder measure so my time to switch out same caliber with same primer size is pretty close to the time it would take on a 550. Depending on how you manage the case feeder can add some time to the swap out but I usually have a predetermined amount of brass I plan to load in a one setting and pull corresponding components to match. Based on the quantity you plan to load the 550 is no doubt a good solution. If you are splitting hares on this and have few extra bucks go with the 650. If you think you may continue with this hobby and increase your loading output go with the 650. https://youtu.be/bMobf61rF8A
  12. Hmmm. Not completely sure what they mean by seconds....see attached video I pulled from the web on a caliber conversion on a 550. https://youtu.be/iUHrWfN3JGI
  13. I have loaded on a 550 w/o case feeder and a 650 w/case feeder. Both are awesome. Paying attention to the details I could load around 300 to 400 rounds an hour on the 550. I can load around 700 to 800 an hour on the 650. I have quick caliber change outs for each caliber which helps when setting up the press. Not sure there is much appreciable difference between changing out calibers between the two presses and IMO this is the time that you don't want to rush things but slow down. The 650 is a much nicer reloading experience.
  14. Sort by caliber, clean, and reload. During the reloading process I watch/catch rejects. I reload on a Dillon 650.
  15. My belt is set up to hold 4 mags. Each mag will load to 17...
  16. That's awesome.....did you replace the screw in the toy? ha ha ha
  17. Sage advice here. The BOSS hanger is really nice but I put the Comp Tac holster on mine. The 360s are great for the price but the Racers are very nice. I use the 360s for Production and the RaceMaster pouches and holster for Open. The DAA belt is very stiff and they make a less stiff model also. I would go with 5 pouches also. Good luck and let us know your final setup. ^^^This^^^
  18. Realistically speaking......the 650. But......
