  1. Thanks! Mine is definitely a gen 1 then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Been off the forum for a little while now. Was browsing and found this post. Forced me to go do a little research. Can any one tell me when the 1301 comp gen 2 came out? I haven’t had any luck google searching it. Pretty sure I own a first gen. What changes did they make with gen 2? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. And here I was hoping your slop was from the two piece....still worth buying or not worth the money? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Interesting concept, but it doesn’t give a sling point, which is the only reason I have to need clamp mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Does it make a difference in clamp location? Was looking at some pictures last night of 3 gun shotguns and found one that had the clamp closer to the hand guard then I have mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. So what makes your barrel free float inside the clamp? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Yeah, I don’t shoot open so I can’t help you with the mount! However, I see you mentioned the newer 1301s have a different action length? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. So did you get the single piece stainless one or the two piece stainless/aluminum one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. A quick google search brought up this one http://www.briley.com/p-56896-briley-bolt-operating-handle-12-gauge-fits-a400-xplor-excel-xtreme-unico-1301-xtrema-1-xtrema-2-tx4-ambidextrous.aspx Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I use the beretta ic extended and the beretta modified extended with mine. I also have the 24” with a Nordic +5. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. You must have big thumbs. My small hands got stuck a few times. Luckily it was right after I got it and wasn't trying to go fast yet. I had my lifter welded the first week I had it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. There are some longer chokes that I have seen out there, but I didn't care enough that the tube was longer than the barrel. Real reason I went with extend choke tube was so I wouldn't have to use a wrench to change them out. I just go hand tight and check it before I shoot. Never have had t come loose. 13. This is my 24", +5 Nordic with extended beretta IM choke Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. How did your loading port come out? I actually have touched mine yet! That is my next mod, but being my first shotgun I am really not sure what angles I will want on it! So I have been shooting it stock! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I took a file to mine in the stock. Didn't take much to get mine to work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. You will need the clamp to use a sling. I only put the clamp on mine when I need to sling it. I have tried quite a few different rounds in mine. I will have to go back and check my list to see about the white box. Don't think that is one I have tried yet. I have been keeping the box ends to track what I have put in it. 17. Most of the guys on here run no clamp. I have one, but the only time I run it when I need to sling the shot gun. Mine eats anything I have put through it. I haven't had a jam yet. Mine has not auto fed low recoil hand loads the skeet guys let me try at the local range. Lately I have been feeding it Wally World federal since its cheep and feeds just fine with mine. I haven't played enough with slugs to figure out my point of aim issue. Mine is also high by about 8 inches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Picked up a Nordic low drag follower today at a local gun store. Had been looking at upgrading my 1301 with one to help recognize when the tube is empty and to further experiment with small performance upgrades. I will be curious to see if Iam able to notice a difference or not. Either way I like the red! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Your welcome! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Mine does not have any angle to it. BCL-12 is what they told me to order when I asked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I went with a +5 and didn't buy the clamp originally. Ended up buying one later just so I could use a sling (so far only used it for duck hunting!). It is not typically on my gun though. It's not needed. Maybe one of the guys using a +6 or longer will chime in if a clamp is actually needed for the longer lengths. If you have big hands you won't need to weld the lifter. I had mine welded up due to small hands. Shoot it for a while then decide if and how you will open the loading port. I haven't done mine yet. I eventually will. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. The post you are looking for is 1136 for 3 gun chokes. Linked article from Pat is there. Really depends on your clubs typical ranges. The Pat link walks you through it pretty well. So far I have stuck mostly to an IC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. You can go as long as you want to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Most of us are running no clamp. I bought one and only use it when I know I need a sling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Why not get a 9mm barrel for your xdm 5.25? Actually wish I had gone that route so I would have both cals in one gun. A lot of guys do it that way. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
