Its fine for local matches. I wouldn't recommend for major matches.
I break out my limited 9mm once in a while for something different.

I just picked up a dan wesson Pointman in .40. ramped barrell, stainless steel. all it needs is a magwell. Maybe a little lightening of the trigger pull. very nice gun. cost me 1050$

I've shot moly for the past 3 years, even at the last two nationals. Never ever have i had a problem. STI, schuemann, SV, Kart, Nowlin, makes no difference, i've never had any rust.

I'd shoot it just the way i wanted too. give me a penalty, whatever. then never go back

I put the SV SS grip (competition) on my bedell. Much softer and with the skate tape the gun stays put in my hands, even in humid weather. Expensive! I paid almost 800 with the sv magwell. fitting was not a problem. I had to remove a little metal for correct bushing fit.

Sounds like a good gun. Lose the tungsten guide rod. You really don't need the weight, they are bricks already. the ultimate gun is only limited by the shooter.

weber grill with temp at least 550.
Steak, preferalbly porterhouse or a nice NY strip.
Dry rub with salt and black pepper with just a hint of cayenne.
baste with worchestershire
rare, about 2-2.5 minutes per side.
let it set for 5 minutes. do your asparagus or corn at that time on the grill.

there is a SASS shooter, female, who shoots down here once in a while. She shoots all of her matches barefoot. Its hot here, sandy, plenty of broken up glass on the range and rocks....doesn't seem to bother her.

I don't run them. they change the recoil impulse too much and if something will break and cause a problem at a match, it will be a shock buff.

I bought the Tac as the Cm is no longer made. Same gun. black instead of grey. different bead up front.

IMM guns with the 2 holed barrel are easy to work up loads.
the ones with 6 holes are a pain in the ass. Very hard to make major. 10+ grains of 3n38, and that might get you there. I have two of the IMM's. One has a barrel which is just comped, and the other is getting rebarreled with a 9mm. If you like short fast guns, they work well.

I was just thinking of reaming the throat so could load longer ammo in it. The way it is now, it just won't take anything around 1.125 or longer.
I might just sell it. Its got an action job, miculek grips and about 40 tk moonclips.

It looks like something from Star trek. they have the usual double helix or whatever it is spring then some sort of strange milled cap, then another spring beyond that. Looks neat, but still has the WTF factor.

Where would one buy such springs. i.e. for an X5? Many of us won't want to send our guns to some guy, me included.

I think that after 2500$ for a limited gun and 3K for an open gun, you are merely paying for 'the little things'. Tool marks are gone, the finish is uber superb, 'gunsmith work' is notable. I've got double stacks that i paid 1500 for that run just as well as my 3K+ guns, they just aren't truly custom.

Run whatever gun you shoot better with.....
Shoot what you are more consistent with. I happen to shoot my 6" Limited gun with major loads better at steel than my 2011 widebody 9mm, probably because i shoot it weekly rather than just once or twice a month.

At my club, i would've reshot you. you were clearly backing up, the ro would've been downrange of you. RO trap with that far wall blocking the view.

It gets 35 mpg per perp.

I shot a few matches in limited major and minor, local matches to clarify. I wasn't any faster with the minor gun and the points down hurt and negate any speed. If you figure you will have a swinger, headshot only, or difficult shots, i.e. no shoot covering the a zone at a good distance, or hard cover shots, your points down will hurt you.
