  2. Of those two, I'd pick the Black Ice. I don't like the minimal amount of retention of the Pro Speed rig.

  4. You're more than welcome. I like thinking "outside the box"
  5. My shotgun is a little longer than that, so I used a long bow case. It's a little bit too long (68"), but worked okay. Might look here: https://www.amazon.com/Rifle-Shotgun-Case-Navy-Inches/dp/B00OPHV6ZC/ref=sr_1_5?s=sports-and-fitness&ie=UTF8&qid=1483125059&sr=1-5&keywords=56+inch+shotgun+case
  6. How long is your gun? How much protection do you want?
  7. You're overthinking this. A flat black paint pen, from your local hardware store is all you need. Careful surface preparation is where you'll need to spend the time.
  8. I've also been using the digital ProEars Gold muffs (I have 3 pair now, but that's a long story). I was hesitant to spend the money for custom plugs, but I did get a pair of E.A.R. digital plugs about 6 months ago. They work great. I was worried that I would have to use muffs in addition when shooting my open gun or my AR. No problem what so ever, I didn't need to double up. Another area of concern was the batteries. The air activated batteries continue to produce power even when not in use. I made a small, air tight container that I put the batteries in when not using the plugs. So far, I'm on my second set of batteries. The plugs are a little different than the muffs. They are a little more sensitive to gunfire than the muffs. Over all, I'm a little sorry I didn't get them sooner.
  9. The sleeves I get have a higher SPF rating than most long sleeve shirts.
  10. If you haven't had any issues, just keep doing what you're doing.
  11. I use 34 and 35s for competition only. Glocks are loose enough that it doesn't matter which grease you use. I haven't been able to tell the difference between "regular" grease and specialty gun greases, except for the smell
  12. Check Amazon in the golf section. I got 3 pair with spf 50 rating for less than $10. Of course, this was after I got a "good" pair for $15.
  13. What do you use now? Slide Glide is as good as any grease. In some of my guns, the action is slowed down too much to use grease, so I use oil.
  14. I like Safariland ELS belt. It's expensive but, if you're even considering 3 gun, it's the only way to go.

    Broke my Para

Guess Para isn't going to fix it? I've got a couple of Bar-Sto barrels, no problems. Of course, the way I shoot, accuracy of the gun isn't usually a problem
  16. It doesn't make that much of a difference in run and gun games, but for steel challenge, .15 seconds lost on every draw could be the difference between 1st and 8th place...just sayin
  17. Well, leather needs more maintenance, a little slower on the draw and wears off a larger area of finish. Other than that, do what you want

    Broke my Para

Sorry to hear that. Do you think it might be covered under warranty? I've only had problem with mine. I had a magazine develop a crack at the back, at the top. They asked me to send it to them for repair (I'm in California). They sent me a new one, no charge.
  19. Since I use mine occasionally for 3 gun, I use a Blade Tec for everything except steel challenge. For that, I use a Safariland
  20. I doubt anyone will laugh at your gun. If they do, those aren't the type of people I'd like to associate with anyway. Let your shooting do the talking I've got an open gun with the Tasco PDP sight, I like it. I tried the C-More but keep returning to the PDP, it just indexes faster for me. BTW, I heard about the PDP being fragile, so I have 4 more in my safe. So far, I'm still on the first one.
  21. They each have their place. Even the hand held Dremel. I use all 3 now. The freedom has much more power for rough work. The air grinder, not so much. It's quieter than the electric grinders, if you don't count the compressor. If I could only have one, I'd pick the Freedom.
  22. Now I've got the air grinder, a few Dremels and a Freedom.
  23. Thanks. Not sure about the quality of the tool, but for $30 (and a 20% discount) it might be worth a try
  24. If you don't mind a stranger answering, the "coupon" I got expires on the 21st. It's "SEPT!0". Supposed to be good for 10% off and free shipping.
