  1. Thank you for your reply. Barrel is clear of obstruction. Since it happened in the first 25 rounds, then again in the last 25 rounds after a 100 round day I don't think that would be a problem. I have fired factory ammunition and there don't appear to be any differences from my reloads. Since I use the reloads in several different AR's, I was trying to make the reloads "universal". The rifle I use most, doesn't want to chamber my reloads without using the small base die. Brass is first deprimed, cleaned and trimmed to 1.750 then deburred and primer pocket cleaned. The small base RCBS die says it sizes to a "little" undersized and bumps the shoulder back slightly. Is that any different than the Hornady small base body die? Is that what you're saying? I thought about annealing, but the thought of doing every case make me want to use factory ammunition.
  2. Had 2 cases separate at the neck yesterday. It seems the first fired and the case neck separates and sticks in the chamber. Second round gets the neck of the previous round stuck and the rifle won't go into battery and is manually ejected. I've shot a few thousand rounds through this rifle and it never happened before. I'm using once fired Federal brass, W748 powder, RCBS small base die for sizing, the rest are Dillon. Headspace in the rifle is okay. Any ideas why this is happening?

  4. How about fitting a new Trubor barrel and having it reamed for 9mm?
  5. I like my Ruger and Buckmark equally. I'd also suggest a S&W Model 41, if your budget allows, that way, when he discovers girls, it's yours
  6. No, the ELS system accepts most attachments directly, others with some minor modification. I run Safariland 771's for the Glock, Bladetech holster and AR mag pouchs, Taccom shotshell racks and Safariland 4 shotshell carriers. Only thing that didn't quite fit was the ALS carrier for the holster.
  7. In that case, 2 pistol mags (load the first from your pocket), 2 ar mags (1 in the gun), holster and 3 shotgun racks. That gives you one extra mag for just in case. I really would suggest the ELS system. It's expensive but worth it. I have a 34 inch waist and there's left over room for 2 shotgun 4 shell carriers, in case the stage has slugs and buckshot.
  8. not on the clock, but it's a good idea to have at least 5 loaded mags
  9. Unless the rules have changed, no holster required for rimfire.
  10. First question is, where are you located, i.e. do you have to deal with reduced magazine capacities?
  11. I ended up taking mine to a local gunsmith. He ended up machining out the rear sight. I don't think I've ever heard him use that many 4 letter words
  12. Dun't think you can do better than the Safariland ELS. It does get kind of expensive though
  13. Don't know if this helps, but, FMJ have an exposed lead base. Hot gas melts a bit and that fouls the compensator. JHP, have covered bases. so that's not a problem . Don't know about coated bullets, sorry. There's also CMJ (complete metal jacket), it also eliminates leading the comp.
  14. If you're still looking; https://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/guide-gear-mens-wakota-shorts-6-inseam?p=e716s&i=660709&utm_source=internal&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2017.04.16_E716SU&ecid=email-2017.04.16_E716SU&em_id=kmiyasaki%40yahoo.com&j=4377&sfmc_sub=3311552&l=58_HTML&u=133877&mid=7292911&jb=517
  15. Try looking up hiking shorts. Good luck.
  16. Just to be sure, off the top or the side ?
  17. I can't even figure out what to do a search for? I've got a Runnerrunner 9mm lower and CMMG upper. Only changes are Taccom feed ramp and Odin Works mag release. Seating the mags without bolt/upper is no problem. Put a bullet in the mag and I REALLY have to slam it hard. Then, the mag doesn't always drop by itself. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  18. From talking to some other PCC shooters, with various upper/lower combinations, hollow points are problematic. I'm switching to FMJ or plated round nose. Good luck with yours.
  19. Just a quick update. It now feeds Winchester and Federal factory ammunition, along with my normal truncated cone bullets. I tried a few different lengths of Montana Gold hollow points and they still won't feed.
  20. Just put one in my CMMG upper yesterday. Haven't had a chance to fire it. My rifle was nosediving with factory Federal , Winchester and my normal reloads. It would run super short reloads, except the last bullet would nosedive. The ramp was pretty easy to install. Had to use some fine diamond files because the slot is fairly narrow. It was a fairly tight friction fit, but I added JB Weld, just in case. It now loads the factory ammunition and my regular length reloads. Can't get to the range this week though.
  21. Thanks, that's great. Maybe I'll have it in time for this weekend :)(
  22. Why not call the gunsmith who did the trigger work and ask for the part back?
  23. Probably won't help that much if you don't live in a restricted magazine capacity state, but in California, 3 or 4 mag changes in a stage.....it's gotta help I think I have the RunnerRunner lower. It's in the shop now, so I'll find out which lower for sure and order it tomorrow unless I can find a non-plastic one.
  24. I have a dedicated Glock lower. Does anyone know if a magwell is available? Thanks.
