  1. Finally able to share the completion of the latest CZ Czechmate compensator I cooked up. Product Specifications: Weight: 94 grams Material: 4140 Steel Finish: Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating Design Features: Extended cone for a smoother transition and a more secure lockup. The first two chambers are angled at 15 degrees rearwards. The first chamber also features a radiused rear top surface for improved recoil mitigation.
  2. Did someone say Czechmate Compensator? The project is finally done! 94 grams 4140 Steel, DLC coated Extended cone for smoother transition and tighter lockup First two chambers are angled 15 deg rearwards with the first chamber having a radiused rear top surface for even more efficient recoil reduction effect
  3. If someone dont like the increased stroke add a buffer to decrease it.

    Mag Well for Shadow 2?

    I really like the M-arms magwell. https://shop.m-arms.eu/product/magwell-monarch-1-for-cz-shadow-2-brass/
  5. As I explained in the previous posts, please read that through. The breach face dimensions are different, unless you are really lucky, just swapping extractor does not cut it. Adjust depth to achieve the required "pinch".
  6. Hi, Checked the pictures, the sear is clearly worn out.
  7. Just a possible thing to check for. Someone has set the trigger overtravel set screw too tight, forcing the sear and hammer hooks to rub while disengaging. If this is going on for a while the surface hardening can be worn through causing the top edge of the hammer hooks to round of (or sear lower edge) this can show itself as hammerfollow.
  8. Hi, I am checking to see if there is a interest in a good comp for Tanfos with a PD barrel.
  9. Generally speaking I would stay away from extra power extractor springs, unless there is something wrong that would require it, such as e.g. rough chamber surface, if using extra power extractor spring it is important to check that you do not get problems with feeding. Usually they require good magsprings as well because it has to push the case with more force up from the mag in under the extractor (extractor has to move out of the way a tad). In your case, most likely a stronger extractor spring will have no positive impact on the extraction. You extractor is most likely already bottoming out on the extractor depth pad that contacts the extractor slot in the slide. What you need to do is to gently remove some material from the extractor depth pad to allow for the extractor to move in deeper and thus being able to apply some tension to the case rim while it is being extracted. As it is now your extractor slips of the rim when the case rim is moving away from the extractor before it is stopped by the opposit side of the breach face. The extractor depth should be such that it has to move out just a little bit when the case rim is slid up under the extractor.
  10. Let me know if you need some guidance.
  11. This is because of .40 breachface dimensions (assuming you are still using a .40 slide)! Check dimensions & compare to 9mm then you will realize the differences. the 9mm extractor does not go deep enough into the rim since the case rim can move away from the extractor since the breach face is wider than on a 9mm. There are possible work arounds for this by adjusting the depth of the 9mm extractor.
  12. Whats the Euro grip? Asking for a friend.. and by the way I am European and have not heard about that.
  13. I recommend checking these out also. They are really good. https://armanov.com/products/spidergo-pistol-grips-for-tanfoglio
  14. At your own risk: Alsa Pro 124grain RN, VV3N38: 7.9grain, OAL: 29.6mm
  15. More CZ open stuff. After 49 days of waiting, my Robin Sebo Ti Czechmate comp showed up this week: my first impression: woah sparks! I've owned Ti comps before and never noticed sparks thrown out the ports, but I'm told it's par for the course. It may be slightly flatter, but the harder hit in the hand combined with the noise and sparks results in a violent affair. I still want to shoot it at speed and see how much of that I notice, but all in all its a quality product and an improvement over the factory steel comp. https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/265569-cz-open-build-theory/?do=findComment&comment=3184325
  16. If you are in europe and shoot ipsc try closer to 165pf and as slow powder as you can find within reason. 20lb hammer spring an 9lbs recoil spring to begin with then start tweaking from there. Another option is to try different grips and improve recoil control perhaps.
  17. Try e.g. VihtaVuori 3n38 and keep it around 168 pf. Some thoughts below.. I have my own perception from testing different comps and combinations. The comp design is crucial, more gas might not be better (depends on your whole setup). I have not tested the sebo one but from the looks of it I would assume it being a tad more effective, however due to less weight it might not slow the slide/barrel down much compared to the original steel one (steel one slowing down slide/barrel velocity also due to weight/inertia). In general a more effective (assumption) comp like the Sebo one and lower the PF below 170pf to get overall bullet velocity down and counter reaction slide/barrel movement speed. By the way, what lbs hammer and recoilspring are you using?
  18. I believe that JJ Racaza uses a Guga Ribas holster when he shoots his Beretta open.
  19. I have this on my Shadow 2 open gun and they have a version for TS/Czechmate https://shop.m-arms.eu/product/magwell-monarch-1-for-cz-ts-ts-czm-black-alu/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CTxRp0gq2Re/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  20. This seasons version of the Shadow 2. Titanium compensator with long steel cone. Slide further shortened and lightened (~250gram). 20lbs main 9 lbs recoil spring, oem firing pin retaining plate. Out of all the versions I've made this is the softest and flattest thus far.
  21. You mentioned that it is stroke from the factory compared to other Tanfos. What is the total slide travel (stroke) on the Domina?
  22. This is a adapter plate version I designed for a friends OR with the same type of optic. This keeps it a bit lower and further back. https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/280892-ftp-alpha3-optic-experiences/?do=findComment&comment=3299989
