  1. For those of y'all who have already done this to your guns what's the most aggressive texture. Right now my guns.covered with skate tape and I like the aggressive grip but i don't like how itbpeels off and loses flgrip over time.
  2. I ordered the holster today, once I get it in I'll post a picture if no one else has.
  3. Thanks for all the help guys, I just ordered my hanger from IP, and I'm about to order the holster. Once I get everything here and assembled I'll post an update with picture and info for others.
  4. By disconnect do you mean the els clip? And yeah my shells stay on my chest also.
  5. Oh... I thought the legs were on the side toward the shooter. Brain fart my bad. Yeah you should be alright. A little wobble but not to bad. I would try and put at least 2 stakes in each leg.
  6. I wanted to get some but I'm in college on a college budget so I found so Adidas trail running shoes that are very similar for 40bucks at academy. Comfy and very good traction.
  7. Awesome thanks. I'm definitely planning on running a drop cause my gut is a little bigger than it should be and the pistol being lower makes it easier to bend over and stuff.
  8. I would think the stakes should solve that problem The more stable the better. Stakes will work till 2 or 3 people really push into it. Then it will wobble
  9. It really needs to have legs sticking out the front so you can push into it when shooting.
  10. i decided to stop worrying about my pistol coming out of my holster while I'm running and getting a retention holster. After several recommendations and playing with a friends I decided on the ALS. I know I want to get. A drop to go with it but I'm having trouble deciding between the Safariland 1.5 drop and the invictous practical drop. Also I'm considering getting the holster made to use a flashlight on the pistol, just in case I decide to shoot a night match. Safariland says it will retain the pistol with or without a light so I figure nothing to lose. Any reasons Why I shouldn't?
  11. Anyone have a good link for a how to make your benelli "fit" you? I bought mine used and it has the same shims and stuff as when I bought it.
  12. That was my thought exactly, I was just hesitant especially after seeing a beta mag in one of the YouTube clips.
  13. I'm looking improve my rifle shooting a targets that are small/far away. I saw a clip of JM's video on YouTube and it looked like it had good info but it's a few years old. Will the technique parts of the dvd still have good info or will it be outdated?
  14. It happened to me at the regional on stage 7. It was one of the last three targets only visible from the shooting position between the 2 barrels stacks at the end.
  15. Well me and my arredondo magwell just got a mid 7 second time on times 223. The gun did its part. So happy with it
  16. After Fallen Brethren 2013 I would reccomend you stay away from larue targets.
  17. Maybe a bean bag round would knock it over without hurting it.
  18. I have turned a few plates with shotgun...the penalty is the extra shot and then I aim at the base of the target in that case, and they went down on the 2nd shot every time. Thanks for the advice. When I go to the range this weekend I'm going to turn a couple on purpose and see how hard it is to knock then down. I'll definitely be aiming at the base now.
  19. In hindsight If I had extra shells in the gun I should have reengaged, but it was the last shotgun array of the stage and I had no way of getting a better angle on it as the only shooting location for it was between a 2-3 ft gap between stacked 55 gal drums.
  20. Thank you for the reply, yes it was scored unhit. The target in question was about 10 yards out and my shooting position was set by 2 stacks of barrels, one on either side. I believe the steel was turned instead of falling because I was going fast and had a mod choke in the gun from a previous long steel array.
  21. This is partially a rules question and partially a strategy question. This past weekend in the 3 gun nation south west regional match, which was outstanding by the way, I shot a steel plate with bird shot and it turned a perfect 90 degrees and did not fall. I saw that it turned without falling and made the split second decision to not shoot at it because I have been told at local matches that a target like that is unsafe to engage. ( I assumed it had something to do with the heat treat being ruined on the edge when the steel is cut). Anyway, it was scored a ftn. Would you have shot at it again? With birdshot or pistol? Have you ever heard a target in this condition called unsafe? If you were writing the rules would you change them to make this a neutralized target? Thanks for the insight guys.
  22. This looks awesome, would probably kill my fat ass, but once I'm outta school and have the budget to travel I hope to make it out. Hope the match goes well this year. I'll be looking forward to more videos.
  23. I'll definitely bring more than enough caddy's and I have shot at this range several time. They have places to shoot out past 1000 yards. I know we won't go that long, just saying they have it.
  24. Do those of yall who have shot a regional match before have any suggestions for this match over a match like Texas Multigun championship or fallen brethren? Do I need to pack anything different or any other suggestions are welcome.
