Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I don't reload steel, alum or Berdan primers, everything else is fair game that gets tossed into a small bin after visually checking it so I can listen for case damage.
  2. Sir, very nice looking setup. Excellent use of space.
  3. RWE, to answer your other question, I use a permanent marker to swipe a line across the case heads & primers. Most of the time (but not always) that is adequate to identify 'my brass'.
  4. +1 for UpLula, had it for a while when my brother asked "what the heck is THAT thing". I think his cost me about $27.
  5. bowenbuilt, frustrating, a little sometimes. P I T A, no not really. As for that harsh four letter swear word that starts with W..., never
  6. Ok, I thought I did pretty good. After watching that Travis video it is obvious that this greybeard needs more work.
  7. I agree with both it is the sizing die (#1) and its improper adjustment (#2). With a little fine tuning that will go away.
  8. Sorry everyone, senior moment, lets try this again. kmonroe99, by your avatar should we assume you live in Florida ?
  9. If that 8# is going to last you quite awhile (a year, or you need the money) sell the TG, the fact that you asked means you weren't sure about getting rid of it so you should probably keep it. You really can have too much powder depending on your storage capabilities but you are not there yet. Enjoy it.
  10. I'm sorry but all brass will, at sometime, FAIL. Unless you can track the number of times any particular piece of brass has been reloaded you can not truly trust it to stay in one piece. Save known brass for matches. Accept that, work through it & burn some powder.
  11. That sounds very interesting, is this something that can be shared with the group (if someone does have the info) ? I know a couple people who would really like to know, myself included.
  12. A little off topic but, the brass rain mentioned can be contained (not stopped) by using the net caps used in hospitals & food places. They are known by different names and were purchased by my wife as bouffant caps, the 21" work well to cover the case feeder. Listening with half an ear tells you when they are no longer dropping down the tube.
  13. Thank you for the feedback guys, yeah the wood block works ok but, if this thing will work as claimed..... I'm all in for leaving my skin on my hands.
  14. With the knowledge and amount of people on this site I know that someone must have tried this product. What do you think of it? Good, bad or indifferent. All feedback appreciated. I am not associated with Apex or any other such business, just a desire to learn my weapon better. I've read the few reviews that I've been able to find but, I have not found mention of it on this site. I apologize if I missed it, maybe my searches were inaccurate. Thank you.
  15. Gentlemen and Ladies, Thank you, I laughed so hard I cried. Then muscle memory kicked in and I started to hurt. I think I'm pretty smart BUT, I know I've done some dumb shit in my life and thanks to ya'll I've relived quite a few. KUDOS & GOOD WISHES.
