Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. wideners.com +1 Graf & Sons also has them. Powder Valley has them to. Great people to deal with.
  2. I am sure that there is some out there somewhere but I have yet to see hard data of the kind you are talking about. But even if you can get your hands on some of the data the difference between lots of powder, primers, the bullet seating depth and how tight the individual guns chamber is you probably won't be able get get many conclusive results from it. To me the primer shape is a good Canary in the mine as you put it. But I agree that it is a bit like reading chicken bones but unless you want to buy all the real expensive test equipment it is about all we have to go by and we all have to make our own judgements as to what pressure levels we are comfortable with. I load Major 9 some people think that is too much but I am comfortable with it.
  3. I have seen him twice once about eight years ago and once three years ago. He was great both times but I could tell he had slowed a little between those shows. Time catches up with everyone eventually but he is still one of the best players to ever pick up a guitar.
  4. Thanks for the warning I was worried that the books would be like that. I to have begun to really enjoy True Blood.
  5. I also have the brass T.H.E. magwell in addition to the ICE. The T.H.E. is not a bad magwell at in fact I like it but I just think that the Dawson is a better product IMHO.
  6. This is me at the 2005 AWARE match up in VT.
  7. I am looking to cut down a G18 33 rounder to 170mm length for a G17 open gun. I have access to plastic welding technology where I work but am trying to figure out how to deal with the metal lining. I was wondering how the other people who have tried this modification have dealt with rejoining the metal liner and how successful you have been.
  8. I also have a 650 and what I will do is just remove the primer that is in the station and slide the case in (after the bullet has been pulled) and seat the primer. No need to cycle the handle and bring up new primers or to clear the system it is a little slower this way but not so bad.
  9. I have to agree with all the other posters get the press and don't skimp you'll end up having the press far longer than most individual guns. I nice 650 set up right and you'll never have to buy another again. It will save you money in the long run.
  10. I also have the Dawson Ice and as said before as long as you have the plug in there tight it won't move around at all. At least that has been my experience.
  11. Great pictures, It was a fun match to shoot & RO but it was hot as hell.
  12. I have a Galco Summer Comfort holster that I have had and carried my G23 in almost daily that is very comfortable to me and at about $60 not a bad deal. As far as using for a match though I am not sure I never have personally.
  13. 9mm for two reasons it's cheap and you can buy it anywhere if you are too lazy to reload that day. Flexibility.
  14. It is safe. You can use just about any standard pressure 9mm loading data and be OK. With the exception that you can't load lead bullets in a glock. Loading for a glock 17 is similar to reloading for any other handgun in the same caliber
  15. That is GREAT!!!! It just goes to prove that you really do meet the best people out at the range.
