I run the "pro grade" Ready Tactical kydex AR mag pouch. The only difference on the pro grade is that the belt loop is closed. I really like how little belt space it takes up on my belt and it works with both USGI and pmags. Add in a sub-$30 price point and I think it's a good option.

Start segregating your major PF brass to prevent this in the future?

I was considering the 930 JM but hearing Mr. Kelley speak so highly of these has me thinking twice. How lefty friendly are these? The safety is probably the only thing I'd notice on a stage?

Follow up. I checked the weight of my rifle today on another scale today. This was a digital scale that measures in grams. I measured the upper and lower individually so that more of the weight of the object being measured was over the center of the scale. Upper was 2160 grams (4.761 pounds) Lower was 954 grams (2.103 pounds) That gives a total of 6.864 pounds. This jives with my earlier number but since that number was in question before I wanted to ensure that this scale wasn't off too. There's an old triple bean scale here that has weights you can add, they have their actual weights engraved on the top. One was marked .59 pounds and weighed 267 grams (0.588 pounds) and the other was marked .295 pounds and weighed 134 grams (0.295 pounds). I'm not sure what's different about my build that it weighs less but it does seem to weigh 6.8 pounds.

I don't know why the weight was so low, it was a digital shipping scale that usually measures 50+ pound boxes and such but it shouldn't be *that* far off. Does the weight for that setup seem like an outlier?

Lots of ranges are spread out, I know the last match I shot had the long range stage a couple hundred yards away from the rest of the stages. Casing and unceasing isn't the worst but just strapping your guns to a cart is a whole lot easier. I don't think everyone needs a cart and plenty of people get by without them just fine but I don't think you should dismiss them as pointless either. I started building one this week, I'm capable of lugging my gear around but I like the building project and having a cart just sounds like fun.

I've never wet sanded before, I'll have to read up on that. What about using polishing compounds? I haven't used those either. I'm mostly familiar with using air tools from working on cars, quite the different animal than guns.

I always see polishing parts as a way to ensure reliability but what tools are used to get this done? I know a dremel or a wheel for a bench grinder are options. What's the best way to accomplish occasionally needing to polish gun parts? Thanks for any info, James

Shot a 2 gun match this weekend and when reloading or dumping the rifle I was wishing for an easier way to drop the mag instead of first stripping it then grabbing a fresh magazine. What are you running for ambi magazine releases? Are they just a part to spend money on or do they actually function in a match? Thanks for any info.

Alright, so the 55gr Hornady are out. I'd rather not roll the dice on a bullet that might or might not work. Where should I look next? 69gr Noslers?

I was picking the brain of a very experienced reloader today to gather information on loading .223 myself. I told him my plans for shooting were 3 Gun and that I planned to shoot Hornady 55 grain FMJ Boat tails. He cautioned me about shooting that light of a bullet out of a 20" 1/7 twist BCM barrel. Should I rework my plans and start researching other loads in my manuals or can the Hornady handle being spun like that and still deliver if I do my part? Thanks for any information.

I'll go make up some dummy rounds tonight. How do you permanently color the rounds to differentiate that they're dunny rounds?

I'm new to action pistol so 80% of my training right now is dry firing. I feel I need to get comfortable with the movements required for drawing, reloading, and transitions before I need to work on anything else. I've been practicing magazine changes with my G34 a lot lately as I have a big fear of muffing a reload. I've been doing it without snap caps and just an empty magazine, should I be doing it with a snap cap in them? I'm curious if a dummy round will help simulate how a magazine will actually feel and fit. Thanks for your input.

Hello. I'm a relatively new shooter and having a ton of fun learning the skills you need for putting holes in cardboard. I worked at a sporting clays club as a teenager but never shot handguns until last year. I shot a couple local steel shoots and had a bunch of fun.
