Moving to the U.S. - Personal firearms imported and shipped with household effects https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/275/~/moving-to-the-u.s.---personal-firearms-imported-and-shipped-with-household Hurricane Butterfly is fully licensed to import firearms and other defense articles into the United States. http://www.hurricanebutterfly.net/import
  2. Some voices have said that the common practice of hiding the locked gun case within a larger and non-descript suitcase offers less security than just checking the locked gun case all by itself. The concern is that a thief can access your (insecure) suitcase and remove your (secure) gun case from it, but, apparently, due to the way that luggage is tracked, it is difficult for a thief to take an entire piece of luggage. If you buy into this line of thinking, you might choose a larger case, perhaps even the largest one that still meets (your preferred airline's) criteria for checked luggage.
  3. Federal law requires you to inform the common carrier, if the package contains a firearm.

    P-14 ultra thin grips

The key word is "thinner", rather than "thin". Brownells sell Navidrex "thin" grips in Micarta, and they're nice, but they're also thicker than the OEM plastic (if that matters to you).
  5. Your what? Either you are or you aren't. IDPA or not IDPA. Read the whole sentence: "I'm president of our local non-affiliated IDPA club. We have 3 new SO's that just got out of the SO school, and are pushing more toward legitimization of our area matches..." You do know that a club cannot affiliate until it has a certified SO, right?
  6. The IPSC Global Village IPSC Handgun Rules PRODUCTION DIVISION forum is the place to ask.
  7. It depends upon the brand and model of rings. Check with the manufacturer.
  8. This thread has valuable points (which you might want to incorporate in your policies): AIWB: Not for Everyone http://pistol-training.com/archives/2998
  9. Should we deduce that it is easier to "see what someone's doing when they reholster in front of you" into a strong side holster that is hidden from view under a shoot-me-first vest?
  10. It could also be functional, like sand cuts. http://www.dlsports.com/sand_cuts.html
  11. You might want to try silicone spray.
  12. Correct. The 19 and 26 share lug geometry. The 17's lug geometry is .
  13. Dig deeper, RNA. Like azgoose said, it's satirical.
