Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. If hand placing bullets (not using Mr. bullet Feeder)... Try holding bullet with thumb and index finger while letting your middle finger pad drag along side of shell plate as it advances and stops. This will address zeroing in on press stabilization, shell plate smoothness, and static charge (surface tension) spillage root-causes. This makes you the grounding rod as you are moving 2x the powder of most hand loaders.
  2. Excellent.., It looks liker a much easier approach, even through I can tap the talents of my master welder neighbor. I have both a PSA and Spinta bolts to modify. My trigger options are an Elfmann 3 gun C trigger & Timney skeletonized 3.5lb to work with for a reliable set up. Thanks again.
  3. It would be greatly appreciated... I wanted to prototype a proof of concept with a temporary solution before a permanent fix, so I molded a reset bump with Permatex steel weld 4 minute set time, 4 hr cure... After surface prep, I was able to shape the epoxy in its elastic state (non stick to touch in approx. 6 minutes) using the side of a punch to roll it along & against the edge to create 30 degree ramp, shape with file and will need to buff surface down and finish smooth. Let me know if I'm on the right track... approx. 0.300 width x 0.300 length x 0.040 height
  4. I'm running into the same trigger reset issues... Anyone want to share bolt 0.040" weld fix pics for quality control, I tend to go wild with my tig.
  5. R Data From the range.... Load data groups: Looking For AR9 Tuning data input... Post Load data with: Trigger Mfg Model, Buffer Mfr & weight, Buffer Spring Mfr. & Model, BCG Mfr & Weight @15yds - Xtreme Bullet 124gn, OAL 1.132, Primer CCI, (location Indiana approx. 1100 above sea level)... 6. **Loads Developed with pictured above custom build (new frontier armory lower (PSA), with Spinta BCG & upper with KAW Valley precision 16" barrel) were with Xtreme 124g jacketed RN, 1.132 OAL, CCI primer Autocomp 4.0gn PF=129 #2 3.4gn PF=130 3N38 5,5gn PF=137 WST 3.6gn PF=132 WSF 3.8gn PF=129 HP-38 3.4gn PF=128
  7. Excellent information, I just wish I looked here first before setting out to re-invent the wheel... I originally intended to build a PSA AR9 prototype as a test build to customize, however, after delivery delays (30 days) I was forced to invest in an insurance policy due to shortened test window. 2nd investment build is has a PSA lower, Timney 3lb trigger, Blackhawk grip, heavy duty buffer tube, (trigger, buffer & spring combo TBD.... parts are due in later this week and planning on tuning for 130 PF). Upper: Spinta BCG & billet upper, KAW Valley 16" barrel, Radian Raptor charging handle (replaces BCM), JP comp
