  1. I am wondering what everyone/anyone's opinion/experiences are with this powder...I have been running it in both my Stock 2's for around 3 months (3000 rds. +/-) and i really like how it burns, is somewhat clean and reasonably priced from my local store here. I definitely had some trouble finding accurate load data but relied on the published manual from the manufacturer (using the BA9 powder info as i was instructed to do) and the comparable data from N320 powder loads. I currently have no access to a Chrono at my local indoor practice range and the one at my local match range has not been available for use either so i have no idea what my loads would actually meter. I'm currently running 4.0gr powder underneath a .355 125g lead coated Blue Bullet @ 1.125 OAL and i really like this load a lot. It shoots soft, accurate and reliably for me so far. The closest published load data (124gr cast bullet using BA9 powder) shows as starting load of 3.4gr @962 FPS - Max. load of 4.3gr @1082 FPS Just wondering if the above load sounds like a good recipe for at least making the minimum minor power factor. Any tips, info and suggestions are very much welcomed!

  3. That sir, is a baller score you shot there.
  4. Match #11 video. Another sub-par result again falling short of my goals. Oddly enough i felt alot better about the shooting and moving side of things from this match compared to my previous ones. The hits and movement was there, i just had 2 really bad stages littered with mental mistakes that cost me valuable points. Stage 4 - Forgot/couldn't see/lost count of the early steel portion of the stage - then saw the missed steel out of my peripheral which really threw me causing me to miss a completely open target in the 2nd to last array. These mistakes resulted in 1 mike, a procedural plus 2 mikes in the end and dropped me to 15th place on this stage. Stage 5 - I didn't read the instructions on the classifier stage and without knowing it engaged the steel from the incorrect side of the barricade resulting in a procedural and mike and as a result put me into 14th on the stage. I was able to re-shoot the classifier for my own satisfaction but that score obviously didn't count towards the match result. All in all i learned alot shooting this match and i feel like a breakthrough is still on the horizon if i can keep consistently dryfiring and attending matches on a regular basis.
  5. Thanks Man I appreciate that. I'm going to run these new Henning grips at the match tomorrow and prob give them another week of use to make my mind up. I posted this almost just out of pure curiosity just wanting to know what the deal was. Did you sell the Tanfo yet?
  6. Anybody out there know when the Sales 2.0 grips are going to be available for purchase again from "shooting sports innovations"?...Ive sent 3-4 emails to them over the span of about 2 months and have yet to hear back. I cant seem to find a phone number for them to ask directly so i was hoping someone on here might have some insider information. Ive purchased from them in the past and customer service has always been exceptional so i really hope this is just a hiccup in production or something.
  7. Thank you sir! i really appreciate it. i was definitely planning on getting the Henning 140mm base plates. You'd think with how many times i stripped my other Stock 2's down to bare frame id have know this but Ive never been accused of being the brightest star in the galaxy
  8. Hi All, Probably a dumb question here but couldn't seem to find the answer in searching so here it goes...Say i was able to acquire a Tanfo Stock 2 in .40 and wanted to try my hand at Limited Div. some day - can i put a magwell on a stock 2 large frame? I was looking at the Henning magwells but they look to have a screw that runs through it and i cant really see how that would work without some drilling and tapping. Please excuse my ignorance on the topic, just a dumb production guy.
  9. Forgive my ignorance here but if the safety is acceptable would the new Unica mag catch lever be as well??
  10. This is awesome stuff here! Just found your YT channel and subbed. Lots to learn from you - thanks for sharing/uploading I'm looking forward to going through your library of videos and picking up whatever i can to apply to my shooting. Good luck at the state match coming up sir!
  11. Latest video from match #10. Unfortunately I fell short of my goal of finishing inside the top 5. (finished 5th Production) LOTS of silly mistakes that cost me valuable points and placement in this match. I'm having a hard time "changing gears" during stages where im rushing through or hosing the easy targets and then come up on far steel or difficult partials. I cant seem to switch off my mind from going fast (or trying at least) to slowing down long enough to get a good sight picture and trigger pull when its needed. The 4 Misses in this match i think cost me my 3rd-4th place finish after looking at the results. Also, in practice my reloads are roughly 1.0 Sec about 95% of the time and the last couple matches i have seriously bobbled some reloads...I don't know what it is but its really frustrating to have that happen when it counts and then in practice when it doesn't matter not have to worry about it at all. Not really sure how to cure that one..time and experience i guess. Some highlights (i guess) were coming as close as i have yet to getting a stage win. I was less than 1/2 % off the stage win on stage 5 and 9% off the stage win on the classifier.
  12. Here is my most recent match, match #9 from 8/26/17...Not to excited about this result.
  13. Match #5 - This was what i consider the turning point for me as a new shooter/competitor. I was only now realizing that there is a difference between goos and bad practice. This was also the first time i had the realization that dryfire can and will work as long as you are willing to do the work
  14. I shot my first USPSA match in February 2017 and was immediately bit by the bug that is competitive pistol shooting. I wanted to start a match log that shows the progress (if any) and all the other useful information that comes from self and outside evaluation to push me forward in this sport. I appreciate any and all feedback, critique, recommendations, etc. I am now coming up on shooting my 10th match this Saturday 9/9/17'. USPSA# A101894 Here is my video from my first ever USPSA match (this is super hard to watch )
  15. 17th of 90 Overall 2nd of 21 Production 7A/4C/1D/6.9 Seconds/6.86 HF
  16. Just shot my first match with these thinner sights and I was very pleased. Much easier to call shots on the longer targets and more difficult partials than the previous sights i had installed. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZgTmpCOF00ABIfUcoWB9Vg
  17. For what it's worth, my score of 4.0 sec + 40 points ended up being a 75.5% in production division.
  18. Just curious as to everyone's experience or opinions on using a thinner front sight for USPSA competition. I just recently switched my Dawson sights out that were .115 x.160 and got the Henning F/O front sight that appears to be .095 x .180. The Dawson sights on both of my Tanfos came loose quite often even with lock-tight and the microscopic allen screw kinda drove me crazy... So far in dryfire and with the limited live fire practice Ive had with the Henning sights im really liking the added visibility the thinner sight allows without covering up the whole target at longer distances and with harder partial target arrays. I haven't shot a match with them yet so that will obviously be the deciding factor but i was just curious as to what you all thought, or if anyone's tried something similar.
