  1. You should file your base pads. Just put a slight angle on the sides where they contact the magwell. Start with one mag and go slow. I had the same problem and now it's fixed.
  2. A friend of mine just had a kaboom on his 1050. He was loading 45 and thinks he got a small primer 45 mixed in with the large.
  3. Does anyone have contact info for stats? I'm missing a score for a stage. Great match by the way. Great squad. Thanks Jeff
  4. Kevin, How often are you processing applications? Every couple of days? Once a week? Thanks, Jeff
  5. I use the Mecgar 18 round magazines in all my 226 guns and never had a problem..
  6. I just decided to shoot revolver for the fall/winter. I am now starting to have second thoughts after seeing and the "convertable" revolvers with their tops down. Maybe I need to get away from Titegroup. Jeff
  7. Yes. You can angle the 3,4,5 mag pouches as long as they are behind your hip bone. Jeff
  8. Ardo, You will need to order the Wolff new style hammer spring. They are the short springs for Sig pistols with the plastic mainspring seats. 21 lbs is the factory standard. A 18 lb spring should will work consistantly in your gun with no light primer strikes. You can order one from Top Gun Suppy. The link to the spring is below. 9. I also want to say thank you to everyone that volunteered for this match. Everyone was fantastic and the stages were great. It also great shooting with and against Matt Cheely. I shot 93% of Cheely. One of best matches He kept me on my toes. Here are my videos from the match....Thanks for watching....Jeff
  10. Hello, I am new to this wheel gun thing and I am having problems finding a holster. I have everything I need to start shooting except the holster. I have a 5" S&W 625 in 45acp. I am looking for a descent starter holster. If someone can point me in the right direction or has one for sale, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Jeff
  11. It's definitely worth buying or renting.....great film...best Batman film to date...
  12. I'm using 180 Montana Gold CMJ through an SV with an AET barrel.
  13. Kyle, You get off on these types of topics, don't you??????
  14. +3 on the hard chrome. It may cost alittle now but it would be worth it in the long run.
  15. Schoonie, I agree with you. At a local match, you have a lot of new shooters who know nothing of the rule book or calibrations. You also have a lot of shooters that have a limited amount of ammo. So stop the shooter and fix the problem. Remember, this is susposed to be fun. At a major match, I also agree with Schoonie. You must assume that the shooter has some understanding of the rules and he will asked for a calibration. If not then he will learn after that stage and it will be a good learning experience for him.
  16. jm951, I also think that gear is a big deterant to new shooters. At my local club there are a couple of seasoned shooters that I have spoken with regarding what they say to new shooters. I overhead one at our last match telling a new shooter "Why don't you buy a real gun". The new guy was shooting a Glock 17. You could tell that he was disappointed and discouraged by what he just heard and I was too. After talking to the new shooter, he said that was all he could afford. I had to reassure him that the majority of the shooters you meet here are not like that. I was planning on shooting Open but changed my mind and shot my Glock 19 and had the new guy squad with me. At the end of the match, he thanked me for cheering him up and he said that he had a great time. Now the new guy is emailing me everyday looking for more info on this sport and he wants to ride with me to the next match that i shoot. This is an example of how a few shooters can push away new shooters and "us" as seasoned shooters need to be reminded sometimes of what it felt like at our first match.
  17. Cuz, My SV has an AET barrel and is chambered for longer rounds. Here is my load. 180 Montana Gold 5.2 VV320 1.200 OAL I've been shooting the same load for over 2 years and I get a 172 power factor out of it, consistantly.
  18. I'm with 3quartertime. If you shoot your Glock better than the Kimber, then get rid of Kimber. Shoot what is comfortable for you. "Sell the Kimber and buy two more Glocks"
  19. I agree with Steve and Kyle. Dry fire practice has helped me out a lot. I don't have the time or a local range to do live fire practice, so dry fire is what I do in between matches. I would recommend Steve's dry fire book to anyone. I still use it and I've had it for over a year.
