Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Click on the link that is above the data. I tried to format it a little better... still not great.
  2. IMR PB burns too fast for 180gr bullets to make any decent velocity. At max loads you might make a power factor of 170 and the kick is going to be excessive. Start off with much less powder and see what the velocity is. The 5.25 XDm will give you better velocity since the powder has more time to burn. I usually notice 80 - 100 ft/sec increase with Power Pistol over what the book says. With a 16" Barrel I went from 1110 ft/sec to 1320 ft/sec with the same load. A full power load of 8.9gr and 155 JHP went from 1310 ft/sec on the 5.25 to 1530 ft/sec on the 16" barrel. CLICK HERE FOR LOAD DATA>>> http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp
  3. Mikelindsey You must be blinking or shooting in bright sunlight.... it makes an amazing muzzleflash at night.
  4. Using 6.0 gr of PP with 155 MG FMJ's, out of the 5.25 barrel I'm getting ~1120 ft/sec. Muzzle flash at night is lots of fun.
  5. I faxed an order in the day before the site came back up and then ordered 2 boxes through the new website of 3,000/4,000 the next day... BOTH showed up today. I now have double what I wanted... I guess the fax method works...
  6. It seems some people are having luck with Faxes and even online orders and others are not. It may be just be a stock issue and nothing more. I was able to fax and order online and I was charged for both orders and so far I have 1 tracking number. It looks like there is hope if the product is on the shelf. Yes, the site is down, completely down, none of the inside links are working at all. As far as I can tell they are the ONLY bullet manufacturer with product and the reloading community is hammering them with more than they can handle. I guess it's a good problem to have, maybe it's time to expand... (like a hollowpoint through jello?)
  7. OK, so when gas prices go up does it have anything to do with the price of a barrel of oil??? Nope.
  8. Supply and demand. We demand their product in record numbers, so they keep raising the price. When they start having to compete with ANYONE that actually has product in stock maybe they'll give a damn. Blame Obama, they probably had to pay for healthcare for their employees, so now we have to pay for it with each FMJ.
  9. My order from last week that was FAXED in also shipped... Now I'll have 2x as much as I need. Anyone at RioSalado in AZ Need 9mm's or 40's? I'm going to have 4,000 and 3,000 extra respectively.
  10. With all the component increases reloading is fast becoming a love of the art rather than a money saving endeavor. .13 for heads? .05 per primer? .035 for powder? .15 for brass? I hope prices come back to normal soon.
  11. I don't know if thus is true of not... I heard they sold about 10 Million bullets in the 2 days the site was up!!! I feel bad for the local post office... It probably sank 3-4 inches from all the added weight!
  12. I really don't like the new site, but I guess if it prevents backorders they'll stay up... The main page has no link to .40/10mm, but has links to everything else...
  13. Paul, your quote is interesting... I hit the popper near the bottom 3 or 4 times last week and it was quite ineffective. They were the ones that fall towards you, I didn't realize that they were different.
  14. Yes, but all 9's look like they are out of stock at this point.
  15. They work fine, as do small rifle as long as they go off. Stay away from Wolf small rifle, the cup is too hard for a pistol to set off usually. Stick to the Min loads or as said earlier, drop you load by 10% for magnum primers. Don't use small pistol in rifle ever. Large rifle and pistol are different heights, don't sub those.
