  1. I'll try to post a picture by the weekend. Dan said they may be on the web site next week.
  2. For those of you that would like to light up the inside of your 550B so you can see whats going on, especially the powder charge, i have found the perfect light. I contacted Inline Fabrications, who make Egro handles and other accessories for Dillon Presses. They also have LED strip lights for various presses. I sent an email asking if the strip lights would fit the 550. They have a new one out that isn't on their site yet. It fits into the center hole of the tool head. It has an on off switch and let me tell you, it REALLY lights up the inside of the press well. You could turn off all other lights in the room and still see and reload. No trouble seeing the powder in your case. It's one of the best add-ons i have for my press. If your interested, send them an email or call. It's a well thought out design. Check it out !!
  3. Thats what i'm asking about, the crimp die. Have you used one for 9mm lead bullets ? The Lee FCD sizes the lead bullet to much because it is also sizing the case again and can cause leading.
  4. From what i've been reading, when loading cast lead bullets, which are .356, using the Lee FCD, you are actually squeezing the lead bullet to .355 which you don't want to do. Some have taken out the carbide from the Lee die and just used it to crimp without resizing again. I think the Dillon die just crimps, not resize the whole round. Am i correct in assuming that ?
  5. For those of you that load 9mm lead bullets. How do you like the die ? Does it just take out the bell and crimp very little as to not swage the bullet ? I use the Lee FCD for FMJ but since it also sizes after the bullet is seated, when loading lead rounds it swages the bullets. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  6. The gentleman did say they were swamped and that they had put on some extra help and maybe thats how it was forgotten. Told them i totally understood. Warpspeed, i see you're from Ca. I've always wondered if components are harder to come by there since they have much stricter laws than most states here in the east. Just wondering.
  7. Talked to Dillon this morning and they said it should have been in the box. Said they were sending one out today ! They are a top notch company for sure.
  8. I checked the box again and i can see where the recess is between the two pcs of foam packing, buy nothing in the box. I'll have to call this morning and hope I'm not on hold for an hour !
  9. I ordered it with the 9mm conversion. It was free with the press. I figured i'd check here to see if others had it packed with the press. Looks like i'll be making a call to Dillon.
  10. This is my first Dillon. After a seven week wait, i finally got the press yesterday. This may be a dumb question but here goes. Should the 9mm conversion kit have been in the box with the press ? I got everything else, Strong Mount, bullet tray, roller handle and empty case bin. After a long wait, i still can use the machine without the conversion. Thanks
