  1. Have you considered reseating these to the appropriate OAL?
  2. Thanks. They just seem very heavy duty construction compared to other first gen STI mags I have seen
  3. I have a stash of "restricted use" marked 9mm 126mm 2011 magazines by STI with a matte finish. They were made during the AWB. Any thoughts on these? They are very heavy duty construction.
  4. I am building a 9x25 Witness Hunter and want to know if Henning's conefit 4.2 guide rod will fit? The stock 2-piece guide rod looks a little weak to me.
  5. That is amazing checkering. Stainless will show the extractor a bit more than blue/black. NOTHING wrong with that gun!
  6. I really like this gun except for the thumb safety...I wanted to shoot it in ESP and my damn thumbs are too short and the safety too easy to miss. Oh well. Had to sell it.
  7. Its about 5.5# and creepy..I would like it to be 3.0 and crisp I am great inside a 1911. Not very knowledgeable of the EAA
  8. I need a trigger job badly on my 10mm Hunter. Canyon Creek is 3-4 months and I really can't wait. Anyone else doing small jobs on EAA with fast turnaround? Thanks!

  10. Delta Force used to build all their original 1911's with them (Seriously)
  11. Companies who actually design/make their best quality parts Wilson Ed Brown EGW
  12. Nighthawks uses Melonite QPQ. If you want something that will not show wear you need Diamondblack DLC.
  13. Midway sells the "top secret" barrels LOL http://www.midwayusa.com/find?newcategorydimensionid=17512
  14. On two separate Maten .308 builds my JP silent spring assembly doesn't have enough mass/energy to close the bolt reliably when shooting off a bench. I basically have to turn the gas all the way open which negates the whole point of the adjustable gas block. I changed it out for a Heavy Buffers buffer in one of my guns and it automatically started to work. 100% reliable now and able to tune the gas down which was my goal to begin with. I am not sure the silent spring system is GTG on a standard bolt/carrier yet. At least thats my experience with 2 guns and 3 different BCG's
  15. I am having the opposite issue with the LMOS Spring system. I built a 20" MATEN with a Brownells barrel and 7.62 Industries bolt. I can get the bolt to reliably lock back but after 250 rounds the spring on the LMOS was so weak it wouldn't reliably close the action 20% of the time. Any thoughts? I am considering switching to a Tubbs spring and heavy buffer,
  16. Bobro is the best. Its very simple to tighten the ring screws with the mount off and in your hand. Easy on. easy off. returns to 1/2 MOA zero. Superb in every way. Larue is a PITA. If you want to move scopes between rifles especially. Don't care for the rings either. I do really like their mount for a T1. High quality, flawed design. ADM dual lever is very good scope mount for larger rifle scopes. All testing shows that they "settle in" and will return to zero after a shot or two. Quality is very close to Larue.
  17. I really like my new GP6 I -great trigger, Dawson Sights are perfect but the thumb safeties are lousy. Lame. Very hard to consistently hard to hit even when really trying. Anyone try to build them up with acraglas or the like? If I can't fix them it wil be for sale! Maybe I will have to send it to APS?
  18. It is smooth as buttah..its not crisp in a conventonal way, it has a smooth rolling break and super sharp reset
  19. I just got one of these and love it http://shopwilsoncombat.com/Tactical-Trigger-Unit-3-Gun-Semi-Auto/productinfo/TR-TTU-3G
