  1. Used the load 2 setup in a match yesterday. Wow.
  2. I use them in my 3gun rifle. CMT Tac billet lower with JP trigger. They fit and work flawlessly. The purpose of anti rotational pins is to eliminate the possiblity of reciever wear, not make it worse.
  3. I don't understand the weight issue. I made an exact copy of a BAD lever from stainless, and welded it to the factory catch. Haven't had it fail to lock back yet. And I know the stainless is heavier than aluminum. The magazine spring should not have a problem overcoming a little additional weight. Maybe timing? If the bolt isn't going far enough rearward to allow time for the catch to be pushed up with the extra weight? Dang, those BAD levers don't weigh crap though.
  4. Just started 3gun last year. Bought shell caddies and practiced here and there at the weak hand reload. Averaged 12-15 seconds to load 8. Sometimes longer than that. Got some Taccom duo loaders and mounted them on a bracket I made that conforms to your waistline. I can consistently load 8 in less than 6 seconds, and have beat a 5 second par time a couple times. This is week two for the load 2 system. Screw the caddies...
  5. So without the rear flip sight or cantilever, do you guys install any kind of rear sight to align with the front? Seems like you would need something there. Close steel shouldn't pose a problem, but slugs at 50 yards out would. Or woud you flip the factory rear sight in that case? I'm not beyond milling my cantilever off, just want to know why everybody else does, and the advantage of it
  6. What is the real benifit of removing it? Weight? I actually like using it as a "tunnel" for aiming with the front fiber instead of using the flip up rifle sight. Less obstructed view to me. I have even considered installing a larger diameter fiber, and making a small insert to put in the cantilever rail to align with it. But I might be way out in left field if there is magic to be found in cutting it off.
  7. Ok, so I have done a lot of searching, and have found some information, but am confused on an issue. I want to know if I can run a scope and canted irons in Tac ops division. I know my local club matches won't care, but I would like to hit a major match or two later this year, and don't want to start using this setup if I can't use this setup. Thanks in advance.
  8. I just wanted to say hey. I've been a lurker here for quite some time. Not really sure why I just now joined the forum. Anyhow, this site is a wealth of information. Hopefully I can contribute from time to time. I have been shooting IDPA and mixed dicipline pistol for a few years now and just got into 3gun last year. I just finished building a purpose built rifle for the sport. I bought an FN SLP last year and have done the usual mods with help from this site. And I shoot a modified M&P 9mm. I am a machinist by trade. 20 years experience has brought me to running my own shop. Which really comes in handy tooling on firearms.
