Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. This happened to me the first time I switched from pistol to rifle, the black plastic angled piece needed to be turned around for rifle cases. Not sure if this is your problem?
  2. I think I will be buying a 1050 one day, mainly to reload .556 brass.
  3. I tried to load 200 .223 LC brass, I used the RCBS swadger tool on all of them and ended up still reaming them out. I still had about 15 with crushed primers. I think I will just prime the .223 brass first.
  4. I just started loading my .223 on my 650, I have a tool head set up with just a fl sizing die and then trim all the brass on my giruad power trimmer. After I trim I tumble all the lube off then just remove the fl die and finish up loading.
  5. I sold 500 rounds of .223 $500.00 and a DPMS .308 for $1950.00. It will all calm down if a few months.
  6. Had this same issue when I first started reloading .223 and .308, for .223 I use a forster full length sizing die. For .308 I have switched to a small base die and it fixed the chamber sticking issues. hope this helps.
  7. i'm having a hell of a time getting a consistent powder charge with my 650, I've tried two different powders(unique, and true blue). I get charges from 7.1-7.6? I tried to polish up the funnel and she slide with some Flitz, but no luck. Any advise would be great.
  8. I was going to start a new thread, but since there was already one close I guess i'll just add to it. I have loaded around 1200 rounds of .357 sig on my XL650, the powder dispenser would give me random charges from 7.9 to 8.5 grains? It's just plinking ammo anyway but I remember reading about people polishing the charge bar so I took it apart. I found a layer of powder(true blue) still stuck to the charge bar? Well I ended up polishing it with a little flitz and it looks much smoother, time will tell if it helps?
  9. Way cool of you to offer, I love this machine! I have only had it a week and I swear i've looked at it/ used it 50+ times.
  10. Mine took about four weeks(xl650), man I set my press up and started loading on it this past week end. I can't believe I went with out a progressive for so long. I loaded 3-4 hundred rounds an hour(.357 sig). I know that is no time record, but compaired to what i'm used to loading, this was amazing. I did have to clip the shell plate indexing spring because it kept spilling powder, but know its ready to rock. What an amazing piece of equipment.
