Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. i talked to Patricia... i guess my 2k 230gr fmj 45's and 124grJHP 9mms are/were shipped late last week (didn't get a shipped email, so I need to contact to be sure). my 2k 147gr 9mm FMJ order on the otherhand... she says that aren't making them currently and unsure when they will get to making them again. Since eventually I will need those too, I said keep me on backorder for that and ship the rest. This is about 8.5 weeks since I ordered, and that wasn't as far into the madness as some other orders... things have got to get better sometime, right?!
  2. another gempro user here.... been awesome so far, dont' care for the dying squeak it makes when you turn it off, but thats just my OCD talking.
  3. i got one from natchez... it was obviously a return since there were some primers left in it. not too sure if i would say it works well or not yet. if im reading the directions right you flip em by hand and use the vibrations just to load the tubes... right? the pan doesnt do too well flipping them at least in my small amount of time fiddling with it today.
  4. ordered 147gr 9mm FMJ and 230gr .45 FMJ (and some 124gr JHP 9mm) on 16 January.... nothing yet. Thats my only outstanding order that hasn't come in other than with midsouth for some stuff i fully expect to take months to get in, but I'm well aware and ok with that.
  5. i have a 4k bullet order for 230gr .45 FMJs and 147gr 9mm FMJs.... sounds like it will take weeks longer for the .45s and kind of a who-knows on the 9mms... I heard 4-6 weeks when i ordered, i'm at about 8 weeks right now and counting.
  6. nearly impossible to find most bullets for popular calibers off-the-shelf or without a significant backorder. primers come and go nearly immediately, so either you get lucky or on backorder. powder is scarce too in really in demand powder varieties. i've been backordered for titegroup for nearly two months now. i have a ton of things on backorder or waiting to be shipped. I have 10k primers that i don't really need coming that i'm going to sell locally for what i have into them (I was able to get some since I ordered these, and unfortunately I wasn't able to cancel my order). that should help a couple folks in this area. i hope all my stuff doesn't come in at one time... my wife is going to get suspicious, LOL.
  7. I see a reference to lead free large pistol primers.. i have quite a few of these on order, is there reason to load these differently than any other new primer load? obviously, I'd be working up a load as I've never used these primers before....
  8. Wondering if anyone has experience with this combination.... I'm starting to work up a load but can't get to the range til later this week. Wondering if anyone thinks that i'm going to be in a world of hurt with a 4.7gr load w/230FMJ-FP bullets? I'm starting to wonder if this is going to cycle the action reliably or not. Also have a batch of 4.9 and 5.1 made up, and am going to check the barrel after every shot to start off if I can't find a hole punched. These are loaded to 1.215 OAL, crimped to .4695-.4700. federal match LPPs GM150M Passed the plunk test in both my 1911s, just need to get to the range.
