  1. John Voight's character may be the most reprehensible to ever appear on screen.
  2. This was my 2nd straight Nationals. As always the Staff and ROs were as good as it gets. This is a Professional organization of volunteers. Thanks again.
  3. I have had both and currently have 2 Pointman. I think the DW guns are tighter. I had the DW Custom shop build an extra top end for each and I can shoot Major or Minor, depending on my preference, with the same grips and trigger systems. I'm sure either way you will be getting a high quality gun.
  4. I have a Dan Wesson Pointman in 9 with a factory 40 top. I can shoot major or minor. I think the Wesson is a step up in quality. You could get a Heritage and the factory will make you a 9 top as well. All stainless, Ed Brown internals and no MIM parts. This is as good as it gets. JMO.
  5. 1.45OAL -3.3 Titegroup+ 133 PF. Nice soft shooting round in a Dan Wesson Pointman.
  6. At 6' 6" and size 13 I guess thats the long and short of it.
  7. I fell at top speed in rocks when the lacing system on my Solomons failded. I need to tuck them in and one came loose. The lace got caught under the shoe and down I went. I lost the gun and luckily I was the only one injured. For anyone using Solomons PLEASE make sure to secure your laces.
  8. I shot the 147 with 3.5 Titegroup at 1.14 LOA and a PF of 134.7 at the SS Nationals.
  9. Thanks for the help. We had storms in Saint Louis last night and I inadvertantly put in a 45 shell plate. Discovered the error and back to normal.
  10. I've been loading 9mm without a problem and all of a sudden every piece of brass sticks to the decap pin. I have replace the pin. Help.
  11. The 135 Bayou's are very good. The profile seems to feed very easily and it's the round Donnie shoots. The new 125 from SNS is also very nice.
  12. Second the Allopurinol. A cortisone shot from any podiatrist can really help if you have a bad flareup. Takes about 12-24 for the shot to help.
  13. Similar to Neil. 4.3@1.85 was 173 all year long.
  14. Tood, It is unclear if you have reloading equipment. If not i suggest Dillon. You had been looking for a limited gun last week. Maybe that has changed. Whatever direction you go Dillon is a good choice . Most people recommended Imstart with rhe Dillon 550. This was good advice. As I started shooting in ernest I switched to the Dillon 650 and could'nt be happier. The company really stands behind their product when you have problems. As mention a forum seach will reveal all the information you will likely need for different bullets and powder. Rember do not exceed the powder recommendations from the manufacturer.
  15. Thanks to everyone. All good options. I've been rereading BE again and I'm trying to let the gun float. This takes very little strength as many have noted and I can try to just shoot the sights. This seems to be the best approach. Reading over and over about gripping until your skin falls off wasn't the best advice for me and maybe for anyone else. Thanks again.
  16. I tried the bearing and did not see an improvement. The Buffer detent and spring did help.
  17. Bayou 230 and 4.2 at 1.25 LOA is a solid 170PF.. Recoil is soft and very little smoke. I also like WST for 40 using Bayou 200s as well.
  18. Please take a look at online squadding for Area 5. The match is filling up quickly and is very healthy. All major matches are listed on the USPSA website and all Area competitors are USPSA members. When a new shooter registers with USPSA they have immediate access to all sorts of information. Look under the "FIND MATCHES" tab and the Area 5 match and the website are listed. http://area5.org/
