This guy does a very good job of explaining thing especially the mag tuning.

Our 3Gun was doing pretty well until 2020 spring/summer when the bottom fell out. I think the dollar a round had a lot to do with it, and now you can’t get cheap available shotgun ammo at the moment either. When I started 3Gun 2 years ago we were pulling 50~70 people a match. Now we have a hard time hitting 30.
So that has made our 3Gun format change a little bit but time will tell if it will come back.
In the mean time our Falling Steel and fledgling USPSA matches are well attended

New data. Just did some more testing for Silhouette in my czechmate. Had the barrel throat reamed so I can now load out to 1.175. These were done at 1.160
My old load at 7.9 grains with the longer OAL and also changed the weight to 124 precision delta.
Full spreadsheet attached.
-
I also had both of my barrels reamed out to 1.175 did not even occur that the barrels being hardened would stop it from being reamed.
I have had both barrels in and out of the gun they both will thread to the same point. 1/4 turn past where it sits in that photo and then a hard stop.
So I guess I will order up a tap and die in M14X1. I was able to look inside the last port on the comp and it looks like it would thread in further without the comp being a stoping point.

Got the new bullets, Sent back the mixed weight bullets for PD to try and diagnose what went wrong.
New bullets are all 124 grain.
Now off to ladder test my new load.

Kind of digging up a older thread here, but my compensator has a 1.22 mm gap. It seems to run well but that gap has always concerned me when I see photos of other guns with minimal gap.
It will turn a 1/4 of a turn past where it is now but then stops, I am unsure if the compensator is out of depth to screw on further, or if the barrel is out of threads. I figure if I had one more turn on there the compensator would be pretty much perfect with .22mm gap.
I know it is a M14x1 die. I do not know if the barrel is hardened and would preclude being further threaded.
Thoughts?

thanks guys for the help, Dumb question is there any issue ordering from them being that their overseas?
Mine got here in two weeks. USPS is taking longer to get a letter from AZ to MD….

I got one from Sebow and thought it might be too short, but upon installing it I am quite happy with it.

Just got an order in this week of 2K 124gr PD JHP. This post concerned me so I grabbed 50 random heads and weighted them. All in the 124gr range.
Glad to hear it. PD is standing behind their name on this one so hopefully it is just a fluke.
This does seem to be my luck though…

Well they are going to ship me two fresh cases. They want to do a QC on the Bullets since the 115s and 124s are two different products so this should not happen. So they are having me send them back when the new cases come.
-
I found that setting a caliper to .563 inches and if the bullet passes through it is 115 grains. If not it is 124 grains. Still sorting 2K in bullets is not my idea of fun times. Even while on a con call.
-
Talked to them this morning. Opened the second case and stared weighing this time it was a hundred or so 124s and 13 115s…
They are looking at things and will call me back.
Guess I will be sorting for a while…

We cannot add any more items to our current manufacturer order that is arriving in September. It would have to go in on the next order after that which would likely not arrive until 2022.
Darn.

Hey, if you guys ordered anything from Delta Precision lately you might want to get the scale out. I always spot check 30 or so projectiles out of a new case from various places in the bag. I did this with my latest case of 124 grain FMJ bullets from Precision Delta, They were coming up 115 grains and an occasional 124 grain bullet. So I kept weighting them until I had one hundred 115 grain bullets. I only had 17 124 grain bullets when I finished the hundred 115 grain bullets.
This was ordered on the 24th of June.
I have emailed them and have yet to open the second case. I will probably do that on camera. Hopefully I will hear from Precision Delta in the morning or sooner…

I picked up one of your 8MOA dots. Any chance I can special order a 3MOA dot?

Did you swap mag releases on the TSO and Czechmate? I was wondering if there was an option for another mag release for the Czechmate.
I just got my mag release for my Czechmate from Seboweapons. It is pretty good, I think a bit shorter than I would have liked, but I won’t know until I install it. Will do that when I swap over optics.

Thanks guys…
Will be ordering the CZC mount next week. Now just the optics choice left to make. Might be a XL just because the Alpha3 6moa is sold out…
Don’t think I will be throwing an RMR on it any time soon…

CZC isn't "pushing" the C-More Slide Ride, that's just what comes with the Czechmate from the factory. They may update it in the future with a more modern option but for now you cannot buy a new Czechmate without the slide ride.
FWIW, the slide-ride has the most crisp dot of any red dot I have tried. It will not hold you back on the Czechmate. The only real drawbacks of it are that it eats batteries and has a greater bore offset. It is heavier than a MRDS but that's a preference thing. If you really don't like it you can just sell it and get the CZC multi optic mount and use a MRDS. Both of my Czechmates have Romeo3 XLs on them now because I prefer the lighter swing weight but I still have a slide ride around as a backup.
Regor, any chance you can throw up a few pics with the Romeo3 XLs on your Czechmate? I am looking to get rid of my slide ride as I am just not happy with how tall it is and the fact it goes through batteries like a baby through diapers….
I am looking at that and the FTP Alpha3. Decisions, decisions….

Turns out they are still milling for the Shadow 2. Was looking to get a slide from them and they were sold out, but they still accept customer slides for Shadow 2 slide work.

I use 135grain DG Bullets. Accurate and available…

If there isn't an option to order a different optic guess would have to put up with the C-More for a while. Hate to pay for the mount and optic and then first thing pay for a different mount and different optic. When I first received my Shadow2 with the milled CO package I went with the C-More RTS as that was what was recommended. Within two weeks had to send the optic back to C-More as it kept shutting off. Would fire several round or so and the red dot would turn off and would have to reboot the optic. Did this over and over so obviously that's a no-go. They put a new main board in the optic and sent it back.
I currently have the RTS mounted on the CZ TSO 40 I just picked up with CZC frame mount. Going through the zero process and bench resting gun, have it pretty close to dead on. Problem I'm noticing is the dot looks like a lunar eclipse. Top right fourth of the dot is missing from about the 11:30 to 3:00 location with jagged crown shape at the bottom of the crescent. Not positive if it's the diode or possible to clean the diode and check before sending back to C-More. Another reason I'm a bit suspicious about the C-More.
Just got back from the range tweaking the zero and confirming the latest adjustment to the load. Load velocity and zero looked great for the first two groups of five. First shot of the third group was 4" high, other four looked fine. First shot of the fourth group was 3" low, 2nd shot 3" high, next three closer to back to zero. First shot of fifth group was 5" high. Using Caldwell bench rest with bag rest for the stock, same set up I can get single hole groups with the Shadow2 9mm. I did double check the lock and felt tight. Was feeling pretty good about the zero and load for the first ten but those are some wild flyers to be tossing out at only 30'. Between the funky dot and the flyers suspicious about the RTS. Did check my chrono log so see if any wild velocity swings corresponding with the flyers but SD looked good.
Slightly off original scope of conversation, sorta related but definitely frustrating.
I ran into the accuracy issue on mine. Though I had put loktite on the mount screws it still came loose. I then cleaned all the old Loktite off with acetone reapplied loktite really tightened it down then marked the three screws with crosscheck torque seal to give me an indication if they move againnow it has been good to go.

Still have not seen this hit the YouTube channels like Ultimate Reloader. So apparently it is still mostly Corona ware….
