Getting more and more addicted to guns these days; and no I'm not one of the over-reactor ammo horders responsible for the frustrations the rest of us feel every day when trying to find target ammo (I know, reloading is my next adventure). Several Google searches led me to this site and I am excited to learn and get feedback for my introduction into competitive shooting. I am close to a very active IDPA chapter in North Texas and am excited to get started. I own a XDM 5.25 9mm and I am chomping at the bit to add the modifications needed to be competitive from day one. I'm doing my part too; dry firing several days per week, shooting every opportunity I get, and absorbing all the training ideas, tips/tricks I can while watching video after video on technique, etc. I am a perfectionist and I don't do well with not being at the top of the list at the end of the day. I do, however, understand why I am participating; that of gaining additional skills and knowledge to prepare myself to protect myself and my family in the very best way that I can. Excited to be a part of this community. Chris
