  1. A true statement! I shot one stage with the sixth fastest time. One no shoot/mike dropped me to #80 on that stage.
  2. There wasn't a water issue. There was a lady driving around all day with a cooler-- jam packed with ice cold water. I grabbed four bottles throughout the day. All you had to do was pay attention to the sound of an ATV.
  3. I'm glad you brought this up. I have often wondered the same thing.
  4. CDP- Master ESP- Master ESR- Master SSP- not sure ( I think I shot it in expert time once) SSR- ?? IDPA # A19591
  5. I talked with Bob after he found he was the overall champ, and basically he didn't want to add new equipment he'd never used before. Getting a laser wasn't the issue. Plus, he had been doing 3-4 hours of flashlight dryfire per day preparing for the match, and he felt he would do just find without a laser.
  6. I finished my milling class tonight with the front slide cuts. They are 3/8" wide and shallow. I was going for something bold, simple and clean. I love how it turned out!
  7. Here is a picture of the bomar cut. And for good luck, I decided to add some BLING BLING to my vise.
  8. For those of you that haven't seen the P500 universal sight installation tool from Brownells, I thought I would post some pictures of it. I do like it, and it's affordable. Here is a link: http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/Pro...%20SIGHT%20TOOL
  9. I'm never going to live that one down, am I? I installed the front sight tonight. It took some doing considering the deep dovetail I cut on the front. Patience and a file works wonders. It was rather irritating I must say.
  10. Yeah, no kidding there. Dave Williams might be looking for work too. I don't know which is easier. They are both challenging, fun (at times), rewarding, etc.
  11. Will do... After I beat Robbie and win his gun, I'll use it for spare parts.
  12. Darren, no, it's a bushing fitting mandrel from Brownells (Thanks to my buddy Mark!). It worked out really nice. Going at a snails pace with a file took all of about ten minutes to fit the bushing. It was a lot easier than I had expected. Mark, you just wait........and you thought I was talking shit all these years!!
  13. Not yet......you will though. It's just a matter of time. It will happen just before a major match.
  14. Here are the rest of the pictures:
  15. OpnBlstr, as soon as I read your reply, I went home (before going to the shop) to make sure the barrel fit in the slide and it did. I did end up buying the slide milling fixture from Midway. I love it. I won't do any work on slides without it from now on. MATT, this post is for you! Thank you for all of your help with cutting the slide for the bomar. I can't thank you enough. Dinner is on me at that Italian restaurant we're all meeting at friday night!! The bushing is fit. I'm planning to do the slide cuts on wednesday. Then, after the Single Stack Classic, I'll begin fitting the slide to the frame. After that, I will begin fitting the barrel.
  16. I'm getting ready to fit the bushing tomorrow night, so I needed to clean up the bore.
  17. It has taken me longer than I had hoped, but the bench is done & my new vise is ready to go. I plan to fit the slide and frame soon.
  18. That's what I was thinking so I left the other side alone.
