Greetings all, my first thread here as I get started on the forum and preparing for 3 gun shooting. I've read some nice things about the Winchester Super X3 for 3 gun (I also have one), and I'm wondering if there is any difference in the receiver on a 3" vs 3.5" gun or if it is only the barrel/chamber that's different? I'm doing some shopping for a shorter barrel as opposed to my 28" waterfowl barrel and want to make sure that the 3" barrels are compatible with my 3.5" gun. Let me know, and thanks in advance!

Bringing an old thread up from the deal here, I read here that SLP barrels and X3 barrels are interchangeable. Curious about the 3" and 3.5" designations. I assume that is only a barrel/chamber issue and has nothing to do with the receiver? I have a 3.5" SX3 in 28" and looking for a shorter barrel for a 3 gun rig. Looking at some SLP barrels. 3" barrel work on my 3.5" gun receiver?
