  1. Konus makes one that has a red/blue dot in a crosshair for about 150.
  2. I also have a 1-piece Aadland Mount that I really like with my Viper PST 6-24x. Have it on a 24" 6.5 Grendel AR. It's solid!
  3. I have built several AR pistols: 7.5" 223 Adams Arms piston system. 100% reliable. Troy Claymore on the end. 8.2" 300 blackout Noveske barrel. Again 100% reliable on a DI system. AAC flash-hider on the end. 7.5" 6.8 SPCII Spikes barrel and bolt. I can ring a gong at 200 yards with iron sights reliably with this one too. A2 flash-hider on the end. 10.5" 223 Adams Arms piston system. Also 100% reliable. AAC flash hider on the end Just built another 8" 300 blackout with a CMMG barrel and DI system. We'll see how it runs, but I suspect I'll have no issues. Have a Noveske Flaming Pig on this one. Also just built a 4" .22lr pistol with a CMMG dedicated system/barrel. Have to test fire this one still.
  4. For 223 brass, get an account on ar15.com Cheapest once fired LC brass I have found there. For bullets, I buy bulk packs of 55gr Hornady FMJ/BTHP from random places. Slickguns.com has an ad once a week for them. For 9mm brass, I also got mine of ar15.com. I use Precision Delta and Zero 9mm bullets.
  5. Gunshows have been the priciest here. Big Box (Sportsmans Warehouse) is cheaper and we are lucky to have the local store for Butch's Reloading here.
  6. Mike will tweak your M2, Miley will twerk your M2...
  7. This. Force could have been used to do so many things...
  8. For what it's worth, we've had an LG washer and dryer that are about 2.5 yrs old. Built like tanks doing laundry almost daily for the little ones. 10 yr warranties. Hope I just didn't jinx myself...
  9. Saw them live in Chicago about 5 years ago - great show! Saw In This Moment twice - I own a painting made by Maria Brink! Have seen Nightwish, Disturbed, Slipknot, Megadeth. Looks like alot of musical overlap! I've had the Within Temptation Pandora station playing - Epica, Lacuna Coil, Nightwish, etc.
  10. Many pro shooters have individual web pages so you can see their equipment list.
  11. Scope shower cap when I used to live in Washington! Some rain on the rifle shouldn't matter unless you are dropping it in the mud. Then maybe switch to an AK for 3 gun
  12. I think the DAA draw smoother than the CR's, but that is just my opinion. Indexing slot didn't matter to me either.
  13. Was looking for a 9mm 2011 for 3-gun, their new one may be it!
  14. I've got a set of Brazos mags and a set of stock STI's that I added grams internals and Dawson basepads too. All work well.
  15. I don't bother putting mine in the oven as our humidity here is so low that overnight air-dry does the trick. Never need the brass "right away".
  16. Custom Pelican case. Doesn't fit in the range bag, but I don't mind either.
  17. Yep - I had to send a pistol in for warranty work. They (different company from RIA) provided a UPS 2day return label. I packaged it up, slapped the label on, dropped it off at UPS. 2 weeks later, back at my home, but requires adult >21 signature to receive it.
  18. I have extra small LED lamps on my bench, just not one mounted to the press shining in. Seems to be a resounding yes. I guess the reason I'm looking at buying a longer chain off ebay is that I can add additional lighting over the pre-made ones. That being said, my press may end up looking like a Christmas Tree...
  19. Do u have to run a insert in the plastic daa pouches for 2011 mags I should clarify that my single-stack DAA Racers are dedicated single-stack pouches and that I use dedicated 2011 Racers for my 2011 mags. I should have said "I like my DAA Racers for my 2011. I use the DAA Racer Single Stack mags for single-stack too" The 2011 pouches don't have inserts for single-stack, only for Glock and M&P mags. Sorry for the confusion!
  20. What sort of distance/targets are you engaging and for sanctioned division or otherwise? I'll tell you, I used to shoot pistol carbine bowling pin matches in Ohio with my preban IMI Uzi carbine. It looks a bit weird with the 16" barrel and it's a tad heavy, but with iron sights, that thing was dead straight, flat shooting, no recoil. Never a failure with any factory ammo. Makes me want to find a 9mm carbine match locally...
  21. I would check out an SWFA HD 5-20. It doesn't have the name of a Nightforce, S&B, USO, etc., but the glass is CLEAR and for the price, cannot be beat. Check out Snipershide for reviews. No long range shooter will ever rag on an SWFA HD. Save all the extra $$ for reloading components and/or ammo.
  22. I use a Mapgul MOE+ on my "precision" 308 AR (20" Mega barrel, Geissele SD-E trigger, etc.). I use it on my 24" 6.5 Grendel as well as my precision 223 as well. The angle seems fine and the tackiness prevents motion on my hand independent of the trigger finger.
  23. I see all these ads for LED light strips for your press. I thought about buying a cheap light strip off of ebay instead of one by one of the reloading companies, but does anyone actually use one and does it help at all? It would be for me Hornady LNL.
  24. I agree with the "buy a single stage" first, if you are not going straight to a progressive. Otherwise, just go to a progressive. I went red and got a Hornady LNL that I love. The blue folks will say the same about their blue presses. If you get a single-stage press and have any desire to load some large cal rifles in the future, it's worthwhile to buy a press that can suite it now. i.e., .338 lapua mag, etc.
  25. I like my DAA Racers (the plastic ones, not the Racemasters). Use them for single-stack too!
