  1. You need to clean the gunk out behind the extractor hook. Even with the FSE you will get the same issues. Mine will do that if I fail to clean it every so often.
  2. I load 4.4 Titegroup under a 115gr CMJ Montana Gold at 1.159 OAL. Makes 135+/-PF out of my Pro.
  3. I don't have a problem..... well maybe a small one!!!
  4. MY M&P Pro blew up out of battery shooting a Bianchi rail about a year ago. Gun was stock and I only had it a few months. Smith replaced it for me but it did scare the hell out of me when it happened!!! I was shooting Winchester White Box ammo at the time!
  5. I like my TKW (tactical kydex weaponry) mag pouches! use them for both IDPA and USPSA!!
  6. I had the same thing happen last summer. I'm thinking the gun went off out of battery because I was shooting Winchester White Box ammo. Cracked the frame and blew the extractor out! Also left powder burns on my hand. I sent it to Smith and they sent me a new gun. Mine was an M&P 9 Pro.
  7. Why run the same stage as in 2010? Last year it was Groucho, this year it is Flock of Gulls?????
  8. Can you remove the slide with it installed? Wouldn't want to have to take the scope/mount off every time I took the gun apart.
  9. Can't wait to hear how your open gun M&P project turns out! I shot my 9Pro this year in Limited and had a lot of fun with it although minor did cost me a bunch of points. I would love to have an open pro. Post some pictures when it is finished!!!!!!
  10. Has anyone installed the SSS ESP Magwell on their M&P. I want to get one but don't see a base pad that will work with it. I have 6 of the Taylor Freelance 140MM bases and when in the gun they won't fit in the IDPA box. What pad will work with this mag well and be IDPA box legal??? Thanks...........
  11. Just looks like a Sigma to me...same old bad trigger and all. If they really wanted to sell this thing they should have reworked the trigger. Thumbs down in my book.
  12. Does anyone know the address for the Sir Walter Club so I can put it in my GPS. Can't seem to find it anywhere and don't want to get lost driving down from PA. Thanks!
  13. I have used both and the Taylor ones are superior to the Arredondo. The only minus is the Taylor ones don't have the hole in the base to take the mags apart once they are together. I drilled holes in the base of the Taylors to make taking them apart a snap. I don't know why they don't come that way???? Perry
  14. Did the same thing about 3 weeks ago. Apex makes a great part!! SSS sent the stuff in record time. Also installed a Burwell rear sight.....nice sight!!!! Will give it all a workout next week at the SC Sectional and the following week at Area 6....can't wait!!
  15. Driving down from PA for some Southern hospitality!!! Hope I have enough energy left to shoot the match when we get there. We are leaving on April 8, shooting the SC Sectional on the 9th, driving to Daytona on Saturday and doing the Richard Petty Driving Experience....then off to Disney for 4 days, driving to GA on the 15th and shooting the Area 6 on the 16th. Then 2 days to make the long trek home. I will be the guy with the biggest smile on my face!!!! I'm not gonna want to go back to work after this one!!!
  16. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers..............
  17. Just wondering why stages 7,9 and 10 are recycled stages. Stage 7, Say What, is from the 2007 Area 8 and was called Thunderball Stage 9, Chicken Coop, is from the 2007 Summer Blast and was called The Chicken Coop Stage 10, Silver Eagle, is from the 2009 VA/MD Sectional we just shot June 13th, 2 months ago and was called Silver Eagle?????????????
  18. The temperature at the VA/MD Sectional this year was about 103 degrees. I certainly wouldn't want to stand, shoot and reset stages for 2 days in that type of heat. 1/2 day gets my vote!
  19. I am having the same problem with mine. A good cleaning with the air hose and it will work for a match or two and then the FTE's begin. I own 2 of the 4" guns and have 20,000+ rounds through them and never a problem. I guess I will have to send it back to have it fixed. Perry
  20. I love my 625's. I own 5 of them and they are set up for different games (ICORE, Steel, Pins, IDPA...etc) I love going to a match and someone says, "shooting a revolver ha....can't be real competitive with that". Then when the scores are posted having won one or two stages makes my day and has the bottom feeders all scratching their heads saying WTF. I have been shooting the 625 in competition for 15+ years now and wouldn't have it any other way! Plus like all the others I hate to bend and pick up brass. 2-3 moonclips and I'm done!! I think it is a shame that IDPA is driving the revolver shooters out of the sport. As a big guy I could easily conceal a 5" 625 or a full size 1911. When they changed the rule to 4" it gave me a reason to buy another 625 but I'll be damn if I'm going to go buy an 8 shot to shoot ESR to be competitive. Time to go back to the old games I like to shoot but never had time with all the IDPA matches in the area. I'm to old to learn to count to 8.
