I just reset my password, and bought a 550C for $350 like new last week, so now I have 2 550's, one a B, one a C.

John wants to spend some money to feel good about his contribution to the reloading process. He also brought 2 Rockchucker II's up and lots of dies as it is. I sold off my Lee presses after that.

I have custody of a friend's RL550B, it works good, no issues I aware of. It has about 10,000 rounds loaded on it.I don't think anythings wrong. John said he'd pay for shipping and whatever expense needed to get it reconditioned and updated. It doesn't have the zerk fittings on the pivot points the new model has. I think I heard those mentioned somewhere He thinks it was bought from Dillon around 1988 ish and sat in his living room for 10 years in the box.

I've used Devcon in the prototype tooling industry. It works great, unaffected by temperature extremes. It has a lot of cyanide in it also.

I "accidentally dropped" some nasty crimped in berdan primer 556 foreign brass at the local outdoor range. The brass collectors/resellers jumped on it as they thought it came out of my AR. I usually recycle it, but this was for fun.

There's a PVC fix for that at cast boolits I went and ordered a M die. I 'll resize on the RCBS RS3,then use the 9mm M die in station 1,then I'll raise up the powder funnel a bit to clear the M dies work. The 9mm powder funnel in .353" dia, the 124 Dardas are .3565 to .357", I see almost .004" swaging effect and leading with that setup. I would have tried the 357 M die,but it's set already in the Hornady L'n'L bushing. Just like the RONCO rotisserie,set it and forget it. The RONCO thing actually works well.

Did you happen to read all of the OP? The part where I posted that on page 9 it mentions the primer bar comes to mind.

The press came with missing parts my friends wife made disappear . So I ordered a large powder bar and conversions. Now I read to page 9 of the manual stating that the press came with a large primer bar installed. To go to small primers I need to install the small pistol bar. That's MIA. I noticed there is only one part number for the primer bar. Is it safe to ASSUME the small primer bar and large primer bar are the same,minus the small parts? I want to change out the primer cup with the spare small primer cup that came in the spare parts kit.. Will that work? I also read I think to clean off the baseplate with a green scotchbrite pad? I can see the case head impression in the gunk. I noticed the bolt holding down the star carrier and conversion was loose,maybe that's why he was having issues before he gave up on it and dropped it off on my bench and drove home 200 miles.

What constitutes old I'm 33 and I do it all the time. I think it has to do with working in the gasoline/oil industry for the past 7 years. Double Nickel

Well my 9 mm conversion arrived from DP today and I'll be setting it up whenever my toolheads arrive from a different instate source. I haven't bought the "M" die yet and have to wait for my .357 124 gr RN Dardas boolits to ship. Matt said he was casting them today and would ship them Friday even though the invoice says the 9th. If the powder funnel works good I'll have no need to buy more dies. I have some .356 125 LRN from Peters' in Roseville MI that I will try shortly. I'm just ramblin'. Thanks for the advice

Does the 9mm power funnel size the brass similar to the Lyman "M" die ? The "M" die works great for my 357 on a RCBS RS3

I just traded a PSA LPK for a 223 conversion and $20. I should be making mistakes and having fun with 223 by Wednesday

I just called my local auto repair shop who sells powder on the side. He has a good supply now on most common powders,and should be getting the bigger jugs on Thursday, but it's always a crapshoot. His prices are usually good to great. Primers are in stock also,but a 1K limit usually.

Will do,the 550 has only been on my bench for less than 24 hours though.

My used RL550B didn't come with instructions, so I'm reading all the posts about them , plus the FAQ section

I've been checking everything out. The press came with a maintenance kit and unused strong mount. There seems to be a little surface rust here and there so a good clean and lube is in order once I get it mounted to something.

At least it came out of the truck. My friend downstate didn't have room for it so he left it in my custody. It's set up for 45ACP at the moment, but I don't have a 45 ,yet.. I see I have some reading to do before ordering conversion kits for 9mm Luger and 223. In a year and a half I've had 4 Lee Presses,1 Lyman,1 RCBS and now a Dillon.

I see that "JR" no longer is a GATE mod. I'm getting a G19 Lone Wolf Barrel I'm told was testing for lead. Then I found out only 5 rounds, so I may need the GT hole. Thanks for the heads up,I don't remember reading the fix for free. It was a very interesting thread though.
