    SP01 For carry optic

11 or 13 coil Grams springs?
  2. I really like Steve Anderson's show. His nonsense is an acquired taste but the actual content, mostly about the mental game, is awesome!
  3. Thanks. Guess I need a Shadow top end.
  4. Can the FPB be removed and maintain legality in CO?
  5. Looking to get a top end for my Production SP-01 Shadow to have milled and use in Carry Optics. Can I use a regular SP-01 slide on my Shadow frame or must it be a Shadow top end as well? I didn't think it would matter but had a few tell me I could potentially have some issues due to the FPB. Forgive my ignorance, I'm not a gunsmith, nor do I try to be.

How many rounds are you getting with that setup?

    SP01 For carry optic

Perhaps a bit off topic but, which 140mm base pads are you guys using for Carry Optics?
  8. Thinking of making the trip up from North Carolina for this one!
  9. Curious as to your thoughts of a DQ after a shooter has completed a stage? Is this common? Every DQ that I've seen to this point has came instantly once the offense occurred. Seen one initiated recently that was after the shooter completed the stage and both RO's discussed his position when engaging a specific target and decided it was a DQ due to a 180 break. Thoughts? For the record, it was not me. I'm just curious what you all think. If it's truly about safety, shouldn't he have been stopped immediately and not allowed to continue?
  10. Very unfortunate that this was my first and last SC State match. RO's were pretty good for the most part, stages were average at best, and the overall management of the match reminded me of that of the Hardee's up the road from the range, non existent! I was ready to head home, and would have had I been alone, by noon as I knew what the rest of the day was going to be like. There is absolutely NO reason that match should have taken 13+ hours!
  11. The guys at DP Custom Works mills slides for Optics everyday. Just google them and check out some of their work on the FB page. PM me for a pretty nice discount
  12. The serrations are legal, the top window cut is not. I plan to have my 34 done up similar for the purpose of shooting the games. It will be legal.
  13. This gun may see a match or two here or there just for the purpose of running the gun but the primary purpose of this gun is carry and or a night stand gun. Iron sights make perfect sense to me. Electronics can and will fail.
  14. I will be sure to ask your opinion the next time I want to have some mods done to my gun. Start holding your breath now...
  15. Just received my G17 slide back from the folks at DP Custom Works LLC. I wanted to have my slide milled to accept a Trijicon RMR, tall sights to help with co-witness, and front and top serrations to aide in racking the slide for unloaded starts. To my surprise when I reached out to them to inquire about the services and to ask a few questions not only did I get a quick, professional, and thorough response, it was from Doug himself, the owner of the company! The entire transaction was handled quickly, professionally and the end result is second to none! The overall fit, finish, and look is great! He even handled the Cerakote for me through a partner company also in North Carolina, Weapon Works LLC. I am not easily impressed, but I am extremely impressed with how this entire transaction was handled. Modern services provided the old fashioned way! My G34 slide is on it's way to him tomorrow! http://www.dpcustomworksllc.com/
  16. Do it right the first time, have it milled. You won't regret it! Just got my 17 slide back from the guys at DP Custom Works. They did a fantastic job on the milling and coating! Very reasonable prices and acceptable turnaround times. http://www.dpcustomworksllc.com/
  17. Just picked up an RO in 9mm for the wife. I plan to add a Dawson Ice Magwell, Dawson F/O front sight, Dawson 10 round mags, and have my local gunsmith tune the trigger. Should make for a nice anniversary gift that even I can play with every now and then!
  18. I know, dead horse but this time it's different! Looking to build a gun for CO division. I already have a like new G17 and while I know most will say "use what you have" I don't want to invest time and money into a 17 if the 34 is the way to go. My question would be why would the 34 be superior in CO? Sight radius no longer matters but the additional barrel length could help I suppose. What are your thoughts?
  19. Thanks! I did the same and it did work. How did you get the nut that is behind the hanguard off?
  20. I just picked up a new GMR-13 and don't much care for the hanguard. Guess I need to call JP to see if they will send me the tool needed to remove it.
  21. So, I'm experiencing the same thing after swapping to the same grip on the same gun. My hammer will fall, but only half way. Any recommendations?
  22. I've been able to put about 300 rounds through my recently acquired .40 Pantera over the last couple of days. It has been 100% and the accuracy is simply amazing! Almost unbelievable accuracy actually. I'm very impressed so far. I have opted to make a few changes that should be installed by my gunsmith next week. Hardened fire control kit (hammer, sear, disconnector) DVC grip and Dawson Ice Magwell Dawson tooless guide rod w/Wolff recoil springs MBX magazines
  23. Does anyone know of anywhere that sells only the new clamp belt bracket for these holsters? I have one of the older style holsters that seems to work very well except for the belt mount, it won't slide onto a DAA belt for anything! I really hate to buy an entirely new holster when I really only need the mount. http://www.shootersconnectionstore.com/Limcat-Stealth-Holster--P3601.aspx
