  1. Thanks Pat and everyone. Suppose it's worth a try then. I'll order some.
  2. This isn't a reloading topic obviously but I thought this might be the best place to put it. Anybody have any experience with the 124g super match stuff? I usually shoot American Eagle but thought this might be a step up. Thoughts? https://www.freedommunitions.com/category-s/55961.htm
  3. I think I'm just going to get m frame 3.0s instead. I tried them on today and they fit well. The have a prizm set with the tr22 tr45 and a clear lens. Think I'll do that.
  4. For a glock when I clean it I pull everything out of the slide. I spray the slide with Mpro 7 cleaner. Really get it down the firing pin channel. Use a brush where I can get it. The mpro7 cleaner has surfactants so it pulls up all the carbon. I wipe it down and hose off with gun scrubber. Gun scrubber is great but doesn't really get the carbon. For the barrel anything really works. I usually Mpro7 that too with a bronze brush. For the frame I don't touch that too often. Wipe it down. Once in a while pull the trigger assembly out, wipe it off, and put some slide glide on the connector. I'll use slide glide or Lucas gun oil for lube. Wilson makes some nice ones in different viscosities too. Doesn't really matter though.
  5. Depends on if you're gonna use the hanger for something else. The plus has holes for other bladetech mounting hardware such as tek-lok or els. The regular just has the 4 holes for use with the plate it comes with.So the standard one has a plate with 4 holes that have screws and clamp to the belt? If so that seems like a solid setup. The regular has 4 holes and comes with the matching plate. The plus has a bunch of holes and if I'm not mistaken you can choose tek-lok or the regular plate for your hanger. Would email them regarding that if it matters as I just bought the plus w/ regular plate. Alright well the standard seems good because I like the idea of clamping it in tight. I won't need to move it once it's set. Last question. Spacers, which ones? I'm assuming standard. Any reason to go with longer or shorter spaces? Is that just to fine tune the 2" rule depending on body type?

  7. There's the standard boss hanger and the boss plus. Which one? Assuming the regular one.
  8. My 34 gen 4 has been done for a bit now and I really like it. TTI sights, TTI base pads, Jager steel guide rods with 15 and 13lb springs, DK custom kit. I'm still playing around with back straps but I almost wish I went with a gen 3 because I'm using the medium backstrap and you can get a better trigger with the gen 3 using the same parts. Half pound lighter or so and smoother from what I've seen.
  9. I might go ahead and order the Sordin Supreme Pro-X then with the gel ear cups. I have the Impact Pros and I don't wear them. Like you said it creates a gap at the bottom and they are really loud for me indoors. Even with foam plugs, but I think foam plugs don't always sit right in my ears. The best pair of ear pro I have is actually a passive pair of Brownings. They have small cups and create a really tight seal but they hurt because they are so tight and no electronics which I think is pretty important for comp shooting and taking classes.
  10. I don't know how well I'll explain this but I've been playing around with grip. I sort of have a grip like Bob Vogel. When I'm in the firing position my elbows are bent out and I'm torquing in on the gun from both sides. So my strong hand is pushing in and my weak hand is pushing in along the base of my thumb. The philosophy behind this is that your putting all your pressure closest to the bore axis and using bigger muscle groups to achieve that. The one issue is that this pulls your weak hand palm from the gun. So you don't have even contact all around the grip with both hands. So I've practiced what I take from Jerry Miculek's approach which focuses on simplicity. By doing that I have more even pressure all around the grip and I have contact on all parts of the grip. So I'm taking pressure away from torquing in on both sides of the gun and relying on a more relaxed upper body and just gripping strongly. My elbows are still bent out but I'd say not as much. I don't know what's better but I'm trying to figure that out. I know this type of discussion gets talked about a lot on here but recoil management is something that I find the hardest to get really good at so what type of approach are you taking towards grip?
  11. Have you shot it yet? Curious to see how you perform going from a plastic gun you are familiar with to a gun that gives better advantages to some.
  12. The sordins look nice. The models are confusing. What are the different models?
  13. My buddy can get anything from Oakley SI so I'll have him buy them for me.
  14. Based on talking to gun shop people and reading gun stuff constantly it seems like m&p sales are dying off. Glock is the gold standard for plastic guns. M&ps had a little run. The PPQ, vp9, sig 320, and all those brought stuff to the table for those that don't want a glock. Nobody really knows but Smith I guess but hopefully they have a new kickass line coming out.
  15. There seem to be plenty stock 3s. But something tells me I'd prefer a stock 2. Having options sucks some times. Especially options that are difficult to get.
  16. Still 4 left. Thinking of getting one to test out even though I just set up a production rig.
  17. What are they? Found a place that has Stock III's. Tempted to impulse buy one to see what all this nut huggery hype is about lol. Seems that the Stock II is the one to get but I hear people saying it's not worth tracking one down if a stock III is available.
  18. The full size/production model will be sick. I shot an SDP compact alpha last week and I'm tempted to order one, but I should wait for a full size. Super tight tolerances, fantastic grip feel. Double action is heavy and stack, but I'm sure that can be fixed up. Single action is really good.
  19. O and I have a couple Jager steel guide rods with 15lb and 13lb recoil springs. I like getting as much weight up front as you can.
  20. Yea I think a boss hanger might be in order. It's easy to jam your thumb on the blade tech doh. Plus it's a good excuse to order Ben's books and videos when I get it. He lives close to me so shipping should be fast too. TTI base pads are sick. Not cheap obviously but they are worth it. Add a little weight so the mags drop easier. Add a little weight down low which helps with recoil. How much? Who knows. Not a 5oz mag well but still helps. And they just look awesome. TTI just puts out great stuff all around.
  21. Glock 34 gen 4 TTI sights DK custom trigger TTI base pads. OD green bc they are boss DAA belt. May try a CR as well. Blade Tech DOH holster with adjustable stingray loop Ready Tactical mag pouches x5. This was the hardest to choose. Consider CR speeds, DAA racers, blade tech, and ghost. The RTs are simple. No adjusting anything so figured it's a good place to start. Nothing to add really just feels good to be done and I got all my help on here. Now I want to upgrade the eyes and ears and maybe a KKM barrel.
  22. The Tombstones come out next month - not 100% on the exact date. I'll post the date when I know for sure. You should definitely try these on before ordering. I have worn them a fair bit and they can be quite loose for individuals with a smaller diameter head. Overall, they are a great product and the lense quality is fantastic. I have a fairly small head and face. Maybe I'd be better with one of smiths compact glasses, or clear lenses for my flak jacket xljs
  23. Are you guys using the regular Gold ones, the slim golds, or the pro mag golds which seem too massive? So pretty much between the regular ones and the slim. The slims have a slightly higher NPR which seems weird. But they are doing 20% off today for the holiday so seems like a good time to buy.
  24. Anybody know if these are available yet and if so, where can you get them? Seems like a great system. http://loadoutroom.com/13932/oakley-tombstone-eye-shields-quick-look/
  25. What are you guys using? I have some Howard Leight impacts but want to step it up. Are pro ears where it's at?
