  1. On what?Use the Googler "Witness 600605" Looks like everyone is out. I'm concerned about mine as the place I bought it from claims they have been waiting on my dealer's FFL all week.
  2. On a stock 2. I'm sure there's a thread here on that but can't find it.
  3. Thanks for the help. Based on this and more research here is what I'll do. EGD medium hammer spring EGD medium firing pin spring EGD firing pin EGD guide rod with 10lb recoil spring 18 or 20lb plunger spring. Then maybe I'll have a gunsmith do a light polishing.
  4. Yes if you want reliability do this ^^^^^^I personally like to run a clipped Wolff 14. Clip the flat coil off to reduce stacking. This sounds like a solid plan. I'll go this route to start and can always add the hammer and sear if I want to go further or get a 2nd gun if I like it. With the egw hammer spring what pound is the medium weight one comparable to? I imagine 14-15lb if the stock is 16lb. And I'd guess the light is around 13lb? O and a link to the plunger spring?
  5. Ok so maybe the EGD medium hammer spring and medium firing pin spring with the extended firing pin? Then the Titan hammer, 1 piece sear, and 10lb recoil spring.
  6. Cool. Guess a 14 or 15lb mainspring and 10lb recoil spring it is. Does the mainspring help SA too or just DA?
  7. I just bought a new stock 2 in 9mm. Pretty much an impulse buy so I don't know much about them. Going to shoot it stock to get a feel for it but I know I'm going to want to work on the trigger and stuff. I want to set off factory ammo with no problems. I see guys are using 13lb mainsprings. If I use a 14lb will I keep that reliability? What about the extended firing pin and reduced firing pin spring? I also see that everyone recommends the 1 piece sear. What benefits does that provide? How about the Titan hammer? Finally, what recoil spring weight? I plan on shooting Atlanta arms' 147g round that makes 130pf with a 4.5" barrel.
  8. Looks like Tombstone Tactical has some in stock. They had 1 left and I impulse bought it : ). I was looking to buy an IDPA gun but these things are just too cool so had to get one.
  9. Anybody still have them in stock? And thoughts of getting a .40 and shooting minor? How's a 40 minor run compared to 9 in this gun?
  10. Anybody know where there's a gen 4 zev IDPA magwell in stock? Zev is out. Thinking about doing a 35 for IDPA ESP and figured I can get the lightest recoil with 180g minor loads compared to 9mm. Will also use Dawson +100 base pads, jäger oversized steel guide rod with Wolff 12lb Spring, jäger striker with 4.5lb Spring, and an extra power trigger spring.
  11. I understand that CZ custom is an outside company, however their shadow custom uses all stock external parts, the modding is all internal, which is what allows it to be SSP legal from what I understand. Now Cajun gun works uses an external screw on their trigger on their shadow custom version which makes it illegal. They will build you an SSP gun from what I understand but there are subtle differences that will make the difference whether they are legal or not.
  12. Hmm. I've been told by CZ Custom that the SP01 shadow custom is SSP legal.
  13. I have the same questions. I started getting in to USPSA before I moved. I now live in northwest Arkansas and it seems like it's only IDPA around here. So I want to get an IDPA gun to shoot either SSP or ESP or both. So I think I'm understanding that if I get an SP01 Shadow from either CZ Custom or Cajun and keep it SSP legal it will also be ESP legal. Or I can get a 75 shadow or 1911/2011 and just do ESP. Thoughts on this?

    IDPA SSP

Is there a difference between the "regular" shadow vs a target shadow besides the rear sight? No but the target shadow has milling on the slide to fit the adjustable sight and that's what knocks it out.

    IDPA SSP

I may be forced to start shooting IDPA and need to know what's legal for SSP? I know the accushadow was banned. Is the shadow custom from CZ Custom legal? What about the custom shadow from Cajun? I heard at one point that weight was an issue in IDPA and guys had to put lightweight grips on and stuff but there was a weight increase in the rules making that a non issue anymore with sp01s correct?
  16. I think I'm ordering an accu from mink even though that shadow 2 is coming out. I'm confused by all the options though. Safeties. Slim seems like a good way to go so you can ride the support hand high without engaging it. Or am I wrong about that? Sights. Tactical vs competition rear? CZ custom vs Dawson front? Grips. CZ aluminum, CZ custom aluminum, or vz?
  17. Nobody knows. We are expecting the CZ factory team at the Australian IPSC Nationals at Easter to have Shadow 2. We may also have a shipment in Australia at the same time (maybe). Frustrating. I was finally ready to order an accu from mink or angus.
  18. Is this replacing the current shadow? Is there going to be an accushadow based off this?

    CZ convert

Really that easy? No spring changes or anything?

    CZ convert

Thinking about putting a deposit down on a Matt mink accu and was wondering what I need to know maintenance wise for a CZ noob? I generally shoot glocks and always loved their simplicity. Also, anyone know current wait time for a build?
  21. I've always had glocks. After playing around with m&p'a I want to get one because it seems they've made big improvements to the triggers. They are still heavy though. So I want to drop some of the weight and smooth it out if possible. I'm reading online that because of the changes not all the apex parts work anymore. So what are people buying nowadays?
  22. Craziness. The gp's are cheap enough that I'm going to buy one and see for myself. I want to find an x-trim though as I hear those triggers are crisper. The geometry in the x-cal is different making for a lighter pull but more of a rolling break.
  23. Do the grand powers really have as light of a recoil as everyone says? I find it hard to believe a gun that's 10oz or whatever lighter than an sp01 has similar recoil.
  24. I would get an sp-01 shadow custom from cz custom. Plenty of places have them in stock right now so no wait time. All the work is done already and resale is much easier and higher based on the fact that it's cz custom and not bubba smithed by someone at home. So yea, about 4-450 more than a stock sp-01 shadow but worth it imo.
