A quick look on the website shows that the R2 is available with both 17 round and 10 round mags. I can’t find anything about it online. Typical Sig fashion. Constantly changing things without telling anyone what the changes are.

^^^ Nice. I earned a hat from KD4 for his pistol qual at 25 yards this weekend with a Gen 5 17. It’s very accurate.

My Gen 5 17 is extremely accurate. 25 yards with irons on a B8 are no problem. Factory American Eagle 115g groups well. Took a couple front sights to get the height right but that’s part of it.

Well damn, out of stock. I had an email notification set up and never got an email. my dealer still has one though. I bought a p320c from them last week. It’s my first p320. Always thought they were goofy as hell but I shot it and it shoots great. So I’m 100% getting the X5 now. I was waiting for the 5 days to clear so I don’t have to get multi-gunned but should be able to get it tomorrow or Friday. With my luck it’ll be gone though.

My dealer had 2 for months. I guess they are newer ones because they didn’t have the LCI holes in the barrels. ive been considering one for a while but eh. I shoot glocks. Want either an x5 legion or shadow 2 to play with. anyway, last time I was at the shop they still had 1 of them. My other shop gets them from time to time and they usually sit for a while.

I’ll take the word of Jonny Glock and just about every other Glock expert.

If you are chasing a better trigger then take a Dremel and Flitz to the regular spring cups. Leave them assembled in the striker and you can polish the cups and striker spring. change the Glock channel liner with a white Lone Wolf one. They are much smoother. Or, you can polish a Glock channel liner with flitz and a bore mop.

I need a scope and I’m torn between the Razor Gen IIE and Kahles k16i. the razor 1-10 looks cool but don’t think they are really available right now and I won’t be shooting distances where it’s really beneficial. I like the simple reticle of the Razor Gen II so I’m leaning that way.

Yea it’s a pretty good gun shop. They have the Q5 SFs and tons of nighthawks. anyway, haven’t gotten anything yet but probably going there tomorrow as I’ll be in the area.

true. I figured it was. Gun Scrubber gives me piece of mind knowing it’s a “gun” product. there’s that Powder Blast stuff too that I think is harsher then gun scrubber. Lucas makes a gun cleaner too. Not sure if that’s just brake cleaner too.

What are the differences between the Shadow 2 and S2 Orange? Just the bushing and grips? I thought maybe the orange had a trigger job and was basically an S2 Accushadow but am I wrong about that?

The A01 is like 2100. The shadow 2 Orange is 2k. Grip size seemed similar.

My dealer has a really good selection of guns and I’m wanting to get something different to mess with. I typically shoot Glocks. Today I handled an X5 Legion, Shadow 2 Orange, A01LD, and a couple other things like a P210 Target that’s insanely awesome but doesn’t make sense for any gun games and a Tactical Sport 9mm that’s cool but I’m not shooting Limited minor. Wanted the X5 Legion because I like the frame idea and the price but compared to the CZs they are just mediocre if that makes sense. Might shoot great and all. the Shadow 2 Orange and A01LD are close enough in price to not matter. Sort of leaning towards the A01 I guess but am I missing something to choose one of those over the other? The other thing making this hard is that there’s this IDPA club that shoots once a month almost walking distance from my house. Thought about dabbling in that inferior sport lol just for convenience. Don’t think any of the guns I’ve listed are legal there. Could show up with a Glock or could get a gun that’s legal in both. The dealer had a Shadow Target II as well that I believe is IDPA legal and they had some custom shop short dust cover gun too. Not sure what model but looked like an SP01 frame so should be legal too.

I don’t think they need anything to be competitive. Sure, add weight where you can like you mentioned with a plug and guide rod but Glocks shoot super flat because of the low bore and grip angle while guns like CZs and Sigs need the weight to make up for high bores and less aggressive grip angles. I can shoot fast with a Glock 19 no problem. Grip is important to do that obviously but I firmly believe Glocks can be shot as fast or faster than anything.

Scored a new Gen 3 17 last week. They don’t come around here often. All my other Glocks are Gen 5s at this point. I think I’m going to set up this 17 for IDPA. What should I do trigger wise? I’m a fan of the stock trigger but it’s a little heavy. Minus connector, extra power trigger spring, and a lighter striker spring? I know the extra power trigger springs didn’t work real well in the Gen 4s. Generally not a fan of minus connectors because I like to keep it as crisp as possible but I think the Gen 3s are more forgiving to them just because of the better geometry and all.

223 JP at my shop. Looks pretty standard JP but it has a proof research barrel on it. Dude that works there is like yea JP uses them exclusively. I was like ummm but didn’t say anything lol. Has a lightweight carrier. Don’t think it has adjustable gas either. Doesn’t even look like it’s been shot, if much at all. I’m half tempted to buy it but that barrel gives me hesitation. What do you think? Hard to judge without pics I know but... might be able to stop by tomorrow and get a pic or two.

I’m torn about getting the 5.5” or the 14.5”. Flatter shooting vs faster transitions. Wish I could handle both but I have to buy one blind.

Is that the 14.5 barrel or the 5.5” with shroud?

Looks cool. I’d probably prefer this over the q5 sf, even for competition so I’ll def check one out. Only thing I don’t like it their backstrap at the top. It’s wide and can irritate the thumb knuckle but otherwise this is gonna be sweet.

I’m going to try that in my carry Glock that’s all stock just to see what the difference is. I need to grab a channel liner tool.

Think there’s anything coming out at SHOT? Didn’t Max say he has a signature model coming in 2020?
