Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Even if you only get 6,000 rounds out of your airsoft gun before it takes a complete dump, you are still way ahead money wise and also in terms of repetitions on technique than using live-fire....even if compared to shooting .22 ammo. Not to mention time and fuel cost traveling to and from a live-fire range. I've got a whole cupboard full of broken airsoft guns, I consider them a badge of honor, plus I've got at this time 460,000 rounds of airsoft bb's downrange and counting since about 2002. No possible way I could have ever gotten that much practice with live-fire without winning the lottery.
  2. Try e-hobbyasia and browse their custom shop. They sometimes show a Tokyo Marui G-17 in various configurations...a little pricey compared to the Echo 1 but after you get the gun, a lot of the parts are interchangeable with the Echo 1 like the piston head seal, magazines and magazine parts. If you wear out your TM G-17 you can get some more life out of it by swapping parts from the Echo 1. I have worn out or broken several TM G-17's and have a bone yard of parts that I use to keep a gun running....the things that wear out are the piston head seal and magazine discharge valves along with eventual breakage of internal parts in the trigger assy that I don't know how to fix. A shock buff reduces the internal damage or at least postpones it. Also I am currently running my guns on compressed air instead of gas and that makes them function better and last longer. Hope that helps !
  3. Thanks, good info.......I actually found a source...... Echo 1 website. The internals with the nozzle & piston head are interchangable w/Echo 1 Timberwolf and TM G17. Echo 1 has a pretty good assortment of parts. I have installed the piston head seal in my old TM and it works like new.
  4. Anyone know where to buy the stock design piston head seal (inside the nozzle assy) for a Tokyo Marui G-17 airsoft gun ? I've tried the aftermarket designs and none of them work. When that wears out, an otherwise working gun turns into a paperweight.
