Thanks for letting us know about the stronger reset spring. I don't see it on the website. I emailed and requested it. How did you learn about them?

Sent a message to Timney stating I love the trigger but not the reset. And if they ever come out with a heavier trigger reset spring I want one.
Got a reply saying they have one. 🤷‍♂️

So are most of the issues with gen 5 guns?

i wonder if the ambi slide catch is pinching the trigger shoe or something preventing the trigger bar from dropping all the way? I dont have a gen 5 so I’m just guessing.

The Mcmaster-Carr spring would not work in my Gen 5. Was to wide at the coils and it bound up. 🤷‍♂️  The factory spring works fine. Just to weak for my taste.

Well that was a mistake on my part. I just checked that screw, it was tight but I could pull the timney housing out of the trigger housing. I had a spare and tightened it to the lip and I couldn’t pull the housing up. I must have tightened it too tight and broke the lip.

Same happened to me. I think they could improve that. But I haven’t replaced my housing yet and haven’t had any problems. Seems like the trigger bar holds it down alright.

Based on the feedback that's been coming in, the Timney trigger is noticeably better than the JG trigger and a good bit cheaper too.  Now might be a good time to sell the JG trigger because the Timney trigger is on track to become the Glock competition trigger.  That'll make it hard to recover what's been spent on the JG trigger in the used market as time goes on.  Maybe it doesn't matter to you but I think it's worth considering.

Better shoot that Timney first before you sell that JG trigger. Until I can get a more positive reset on the Timney the JG trigger is still my go to. But to each his own.

  5. 2.5 lbs on my brand new crazy tight G45 MOS with stock striker spring and Glock minus connector.
Reset was sluggish but I played around bending the connector so not as much pressure against the trigger bar and lightly dusted the side of the trigger bar that contacts the frame with some 2000 grit. Made a huge difference in my reset.
Since this is a competition gun only I may tweak the connector a little more. See what point the trigger bar jumps the connector.

Impatiently waiting for a large frame version to be released (have a .45 and 10mm that need upgrades)

Off subject but to me the stock triggers on large frame Glocks feel better than the small frames.  🤷‍♂️ Could just be the larger grip I guess.

A G41 with an awesome trigger would rock!!

The Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS FS with a Forward Controls Design mounting plate is a really nice combination. You get the flexibility of the MOS, a mount that is designed the way it should have been from the factory and you do not have to modify the slide.

Forward Controls Design Mounting Plate Review

Plus one on the Forward Controls Design mount. My RMR is very tight in mine. And I like the fact that it is steel. Attached photo.

As far as the SRO vs RMR? I have both. The RMR is undoubtedly the king as far as rugged/durable. But IMO thats for extreme situations. The SRO is no slouch but I could see the glass getting broke easier than the RMR. That said, I find the SRO way easier to shoot faster. I really like the clearer glass of the SRO over the RMR. My nightstand gun and competition gun are one in the same and I use the SRO.  Carry the RMR mainly because of it’s size.
I wish Trijicon would come out with a RMR with a slightly larger and clearer glass.
    My 2 cents.

Its garbage. I had better luck with an OEM minus connector

    ^^^^ This

I’ve tried most of the well known aftermarket connectors myself. Only use the Glock Minus connectors now. Before a USPSA or Steel match I drop in my striker assembly with a 5 lb striker spring and it’s perfect. Change it back when I get home.

  9. Forward Controls Design has come out with a very solid adapter plate for the Glock MOS with an RMR. It’s steel and the same thickness as the factory plate. RMR fits tight. And it’s wider so the sealing plate is not needed. I’m very happy with mine.
That being said I haven’t had a problem with the factory plates. But this seems better.

  10. I personally hate the 32 MOA ring. I find it distracting. You can pick up a 407C V2 which just has the 2MOA dot for around $230.00.
They also make the 407 with just an 8 MOA circle ⭕️. Not sure if I would like that either.

I’ve got 1750 rounds of the Aguila Super Extra out of my G44 with zero failures to feed or extract. Good stuff!

I now have over 4000 rounds through my G44 with zero failures to feed or extract. I did have three light strikes in the first 1000 rounds or so.
