I really like my GMR-15. Never had a malfunction other than the infamous fire pin break and even then it did not malfunction. I found it while cleaning the bolt.
I just replaced a broken FP in my GMR 15 and noticed the new firing pin was rounded off where the hammer strikes it. I noticed this while cleaning the gun and unfortunately I had already thrown out the broken pin so I could not compare the two. I bought the gun last year and the spare firing pins a couple months ago. Maybe this is JPs attempt at a fix.
When I got the gun it had the wave spring and 6 quarters. The felt recoil was very harsh. I took out the quarters and it greatly reduced the felt recoil. I took out the wave spring and it didn't make a lot of difference. I am setting this up to be a dedicated steel gun so I am going for feel more so than dot movement. I have the weight down to 5lbs 10 oz. almost a pound and a half lighter than my JP GMR-15. It is fun to shoot.
I got a PCC from a member here and it has a Blitzkrieg buffer system. It has a small spring behind the buffer spring. Anybody know what this is for? I am assuming it is for a little extra buffering. It just butts right into the buffer spring with nothing in between.
Thanks,
SR
Anybody do the bolt mod for the ramped barrel ? I have a Palmetto Armory bolt with the Glock cut. I have never removed and replaced a barrel before, so looking for tips. Looks like I will need some special tools. I have the foam cover on the Taccom .
Thanks,

"Merle is a GM and national champion that had a portion of his trigger finger amputated to where he barely could reach the side of the trigger and could never actually have his finger in the guard."
Are you saying that he intentionally had a portion of his finger amputated ??
I don't know the weight but it's not very much. I was wearing my jacket for a couple stages in the morning and I did have an issue with it getting caught in my jacket pocket on a gun on barrel unloaded start. It wasn't a big deal, other than that no issues.
