  1. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YgNjfXbjrk0 I don't know why everybody thinks the reloads are slow. Look at the video above. Shooting hand moves back on the the grip and drops mag. (Does not come all the way off the grip) Shove mag in magwell and in one motion slide hand up mag and press HUGE bolt release...done. There is a lot less movement than a AR mag change. I agree it's not competitive, but it's fun.
  2. I have a Tavor the following is compared to my 18 inch race AR Mag swaps are really fast, around 1.5 sec http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5_ULLl-8jk0 Trigger sucks for small targets past 300 yards Brass does not hit me in the face shooting lefty There is hardly no muzzle rise, I run a break on it and it's no worse than my 18" race AR It's hard to shoot off barricades Transitions from target to target is crazy fast, you will over sweep them if you're not used to it
  3. Do we have to register on Thursday on site? Times? Or can we do it on Friday morning. I can't find this info anywhere. Thanks
  4. I run a Winchester SX3 black shadow (made in Belguim same as Browning gold) with a sporting clays piston. It's a soft shooter. $850 I've had one jam in about 2000 rounds. It will run 950fps loads
  5. If i selected a squad and my name is on the list, does that mean I'm paid up and registered?
  6. My comp gun will go 250 rounds without cleaning and then it will not hold the bolt back on the last round. It has a jp LMOS and adjustable gas. I tuned the gas for 250 rounds of fault free function without cleaning (250 = 2 matches, but I clean it every match )...most guys give it a half a turn more etc. but I actually tested it with a round count with my reloads. My SHTF gun will go MUCH longer without a cleaning its full gas. If the SHTF and I'm away from home at a match, at least I know when I have to call a time out and clean my weapon.
  7. I'm sorry but that reticle is terrible. 2.5 mil hash mark? With my load thats around 500 yards....your first hash mark is the max usable range of the rifle. The bushnell 1-6.5 is much better, or just about any other scope with mil dots
  8. The bushnell SFP 1-6.5 is much better than the FFP 1-6.5
  9. Guys always wear safty glasses, when shooting or working with metal. I work in the medical imaging field, CT and MRI. If you work with metal, grinding etc. small dust/peices WILL GET IN YOUR EYES AND STAY THERE. Before getting a MRI they usally/better ask if you work with metal, if so they will scan your orbits with a CT to see if you have metal in your eyes, if you do NO MRI for you. The MRI will pull them though your skin. Our most powerful MRI is 30,000 gauss, the earths magnetic field is 0.5 gauss.
  10. Jp polished spring with a light coat of lithium grease and its really quiet. You don't have to by the $$$$ captured spring to be quiet
  11. I would really like to see the stages I'm in trooper and stage layout will help me decide on bringing a PCC or bolt gun. I was waiting to buy ammo Getting ammo shipped to me and then ship to the hotel, is going to be cutting it close on time
  12. It is usually best not to put too much trust in subjective "feel". Use a shot timer to assess the relative merits of equipment changes... the timer does not lie. Very true. I use a timer and a my standard drill (fast double taps on 3 targets 10 yards apart, shot at 30 yards) to test any modifications many times what feels better/faster was not.
  13. POPO, I agree, run what you have. But the OP does not have one yet. I have run many guns just for fun at local matches even won one with a M-11 with a Lage upper! Run what you got and have fun, but if you want a 3 gun rifle, get a platform than can be maxed out for the game. For me my split times did not come down until I got a good break, JP low mass, and fast reset trigger. Can you get those for the Sig? JP and nordic barrel, have easily been 1/2" for me.
  14. Good job, did you make the kydex in individual pieces, or one long single piece and chop it in smaller pieces
  15. 55gr 5.56 will damage steel more so than .308Remember the enemy of steel/armor is speed and small frontal area. Think about a M1 sabot round. A small fast projectile does more damage than a slower bigger round.
  16. I just got this from walmart it's made of aluminum and folds flat, huge wheels that are easly removable, going to use it for the first time this weekend
  17. I have a Tromix Sagia 8" that runs 100% At my local match, around 30 shooters, I asked if I could run a Sagia before I bought it, I did not want to spend that kind of $ without a place to shoot it in a match. They said "sure buddy, practice un jamming it" and laughed. For 4 months it was the scourge of the cowboy bays. With a 20 round drum and a lot of ports my 8" Sagia was 20 sec faster than anybody. Then the anti Sagia COF's started to show up. All shells in a ammo can loose at start etc. Now I have a $2000 gun I hardly use anymore. And the use of a Sagia was just for fun, I'm fast with a tube gun as well.
