  1. I had the DA case feeder for my 650. I used it for about 3 months, sold it for a small loss and then got the Dillon case feeder. I think that is what will happen after you have had yours a while, it's good but the extra investment is worth it. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  2. Lot of my friends case guage and then only put the failed loaded rounds through the GRX. Guess it saves a lot of time versus pushing each case! Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  3. So just cut the wings off completely? Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  4. I already have a small screw tapped into the side frame which controls the pre travel. I can just turn the screw and it changes instantly the position of the trigger. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  5. Will have a look at it. Do you know if the disconector is needed for single action only? Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  6. Ok. Just replaced the CGW sear for the original sear for a big competition at the end of the month. As the sear clears the hooks that would suggest that there is enough over travel. I will wait till then to give it a try. It's adjusted perfectly now and has virtually no over travel after the hammer drop. It is an incredible pistol, glad you like it. 7. This is the Shadow Viper. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  8. Viper is a CZ Shadow with a 6 inch slide made by a German gun maker. Sear is the same as a shadow. Not sure it is that as you can continue the trigger pull into the original double action. Will give it a try though. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  9. Have a Shadow Viper using a Cajungunworks competition hammer that has been an incredibly accurate gun. After much use the sear is getting a small amount of wear as it rubs against the harder hammer. The gun is a target pistol and is used only in single action. I installed a CGW billeted sear to match the hammer and the problems started. On trigger release the hammer would fall a short amount and would not drop completely. The sear clears the hooks but does not make it all the way down to the firing pin. Could it be that the hammer is interacting with the wings of the disconector ? In single action, do I even need the disconector installed. Here is a link to a you tube video of what happens. I would be really grateful for any suggestions about fixing this problem. I have reinstalled the original sear after stoning out the slight rounding of the lower sear edge. I would like to have the CGW sear as it will reduce the wear over time. The trigger is incredibly crisp after stoning the curve and remains so for a few thousand rounds. Thanks Mark Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  10. I had trouble with the website and my phone but using Chrome allowed me to complete the process. I used Google translate to email him. Give it a shot!
  11. http://www.armeriapatria.it/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=21&products_id=162 Thats where I bought mine. 170 Euros plus postage. Speedily posted out, well packaged. Add it to the cart , go through the process and they will email you with a price for shipping. For those outside of Europe , Transferwise makes it very easy to make a payment to his bank in Italy. Took me less than 5 minutes.
  12. I have also but its too difficult to say that my accurate throws are down to this alone. I suspect it is a combination of all the tweaks that I have done. I am sure it cant hurt and took only a few minutes.
  13. Got mine today and tried WSP to start. A few of my Dillon tubes did not enter the Delrin holder easily and I had a few " stalls" of the tube filling. A few turns in a drill and they entered perfectly and this seemed to solve the problem. Its nicely made but I cant help feel it is just a very nicely made Vibraprime. There must be a company that can manufacture a similar product as a price between the Vibraprime and the PAL!
  14. I splurged and bought the micrometer from Uniquetek and have not regretted it. I switch between loads and find it to be a great product. It proves the old adage of buy cheep, buy twice. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  15. Don't buy the Prarie Dog version. There is more play than the original Dillon item. I managed to make mine useable as it was outside the return period by winding thin copper wire near the C clip attachment. That made the slop less. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  16. Following the info above, I took the plunge and ordered one from Italy. I can't wait to see if you guys are right! Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  17. I think for my 650 it's overkill..... But I just love adding bells and whistles to my reloading gear! For people running a 1050 which I'm told is harder to see inside the case, this provides a real solution. The only problem is compared to using your eyes where the process is in view the whole time, as the ram is raised there is no useful information on the screen. I think I will keep the monitor mounted on the right side so I can watch the cases enter station 2 and then glance at the screen to confirm powder. It gives a nice tempo to my reloading speed.
  18. Having seen people using cameras to keep an eye on powder levels within a case, saw a cheaper option. Wifi Endoscopes are available for around 40$ and can be set up in less than 5 minutes. The hardest part is working out how to mount the monitor! Here is a link to the Youtube setup on my 650. The beauty is you can use it for other jobs such as barrel inspection, etc. Wifi Endoscope
  19. What about a WiFi endoscope? 40$ and use phone or tablet etc! 20. The Uniquetek is worth it, especially if you change your loads with different bullet weights. I log each session and can always come back to that powder drop. I always re weigh and it's always extremely close. A Deluxe press deserve that little bit extra... Get one! Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  21. Echotango, Did you cut the washer to put it on ? I still have 1 left in its original state, may try your method.
  22. I bought 4 for myself and some friends after having seen a few posts about it. I already had the Uniquetek one and wanted to save a few £$¥! I put them away in a drawer and when it came time to install them I was gutted that there was so much play that it was worse than the original Dillon option which has zero play. I was outside the return period so had to eat the loss. Another good example of buy cheap buy twice. I was able to salvage the micrometer a little by taking some copper filaments and soldering them in place to reduce the play. The play is caused by the clip that is on the threaded shift has a small gap which allows the thread and consequently your powder bar to move about providing inconsistencies in the drop. I only use this setup for IPSC loads as the tolerance required is not that great. If you do buy one, check to see if they have fixed the problem or buy if you are prepared to mod it. 23. I have been using an AWS scale from Amazon for about 25$. The main thing is confidence in its consistency. After it has warmed up I put the same air pistol pellet on it that weighs in at 8.48 Grains. Before each use I put it on to make sure that I am starting from the same level of accuracy as before. The little pellet sits next to the scale and is quick way to calibrate the scale without going through the official process. If its out i just hit ' Tare' again. If you can find some object that weighs about the same as your target load...even better!
  24. Much better than before. Thanks for the photo Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  25. Jaep, Any chance of some photos of the rounds after they have been through the DR die?
