Recently acquired a NOS SP01 Shadow. I installed the full CGW kit, and all went well accept for the trigger reset. The mechanics of the reset are fine, and all works as it should but I have to nudge the trigger forward as it seems the trigger return spring is not pulling the bar? Spring looks fine, disco looks to be allowing DA engagement etc…just seems like the trigger is dragging on reset. The trigger bar spring is not bent and the screw is fully seated….

Christmas time...enjoy the day...then change all springs on the 26th.....

Have my 3rd Everglades.......but this one seems to have a bearing issue. Anyone whom has a recent release have their magnetic roller very tight and resistant to free movement?

I am used to the undercut trigger guards of S_I's. Have a PM9 making its way to me as I type this. Any recommendations on a quick(ish) turn around smith in the northern Atlanta area or so that has the proper machining to undercut the trigger guard as much as is possible? May look for additional slide machining as well. Appreciate the recommendations. Rob

I am thinking the mount is defective. My FTP nor Sig fit.

Does anyone know what the actual screw hold opening sizes are on these? The FTP Alpha 3 is 4mm. Need to know the others?

I liked it. But couldtn't use it. The journals on the Akai mounts are raised. The 4mm holes in the FTP won't work with the 4.28mm wide journals....so need to move to another dot.

Use proper punches......invest in your tools....will save you an incredible amount of grief.

Actually they built me a 38SC and a 9Major top end back in 2015 when I landed in the US...

UPDATE: Okay, so even the OEM FP would not install. I have DP extended for 9mm and a Limcat extended. All no go. I did have a couple of old SV's. I tried to insert all in reverse, just to see what the hang up was (inserting tip into breach face). EVERY one would only insert 3/16 or so. Leading me to believe there was a burr (and when I took it down for first time, the factory obviously got the FP installed but there may have been an issue pending but I never fired it). SO, I then installed the older SV, and tapped it in. The FP protruded from the FP hole now, but it was stuck. Tapped it back out. Suddenly all FP's are working again....So a burr it must have been (air blasted it so wasn't another foreign object i believe). First for me....

The FPbis just floating... I had it insert once by trial and error. Utterly ridiculous. I believe CZ missed a complete machining station with this one.

Funny, but cannot install it....drop spring in, then FP. Cannot get it to seat in the last 1/4”. I have done this literally thousands of times. Believe no chamfering and the FP hole in slide is flat based so inserting the FP is all luck.

I just received my new DW PM9. Just to note prior to my rant, I have owned 50 or more 1911s and have gutted nearly all of them. So VERY familiar. I spent 45 minutes of my life wasted trying to seat the firing pin in my new PM9. Seriously. I believe the slide missed the chamfer station. I cannot get the firing pin end to slide into the FP slide opening. One of those “are you kidding me” afternoons. Side note, I swapped out internals and have a trigger drop at 1.8lbs though. But still no firing pin installed....unbelievable.

Anyone recommend a smith that can undercut my trigger guard on my DW PM9 as well as lighten the slide by tri topping it and maybe window cuts (just not all the way through to be legal)? I am in Atlanta area. Thanks
