Production numbers must be limited, can't find them pretty much anywhere and not paying inflated prices.

Hopefully they will ramp it up ...

Yes.  I stumbled upon a Dark side one in stock.  Haven’t put a round through it but am getting rid of it as at the end of the day, it was an impulse buy simple because I knew it was unobtainium…

  2. I took one on trade.  Just has the 38SC barrel.  It’s new and was a raffle item on the GA State championship in 2022.  I really was contemplating flipping it and moving g on but am a little intrigued and am considering just running it for awhile and maybe get a 9Major and minor barrel set made…:

I also went with the holosun because I owned them already. But they take an RMR footprint if I ever wanted to switch to an SRO…

but I’m Kinda wanting to get my hands on the new hollow sun competition model that’s coming out in a few months

Trying to find info on this......a Shotshow announcement?

I think the consensus is still SRO. But those break too.

There are a lot of theories though. Seems CZ's really kill a lot of dots, but why? Light slide, light recoil spring, light hammer spring, direct mount, all of the above, who knows. I know one guy who thinks it's high round count practice sessions that kill them. Stating he only shoots matches and doesn't break dots, where guys he knows that break dots go train and shoot 300 rounds in 30 mins or so regularly.

I've killed a few dots, all have been during practice and I do those 300 round quick training sessions. Maybe there is something to it.

    Seems like a crap shoot.

Thanks Mike.  Its something to note as the slide I was going to have cut is a Tanfoglio, and I do want to dump rounds on weekend practice sessions....

  5. Sending a slide in to Patriot Defense soon.  Not sure what red dot to affix and get cut for.  I have used 3XL/MAX's, RTS2, SRO's on open pistols, but not on CO.  I know my SRO REALLY did not like LED lighting, but aside from that all were fine sitting on top of a fixed mount.  Now the hammering back on a slide is obviously something entirely different.  In 2023, what would be my best bet to use for durability?  Never used a Holosun, but like larger windows so that may be an option if durable.  Really open....

Have a couple Bul. Nice guns but if you have any questions about replacement parts or anything else with the guns, You’ll more or less be met with a dead end on customer service. And warranty is voided if you even use a non factory magazine. Let alone if you want to do any custom work to it.

Thanks for that.  Not keen on companies that use warranty verbiage escape clauses.... thank you for your transparency.

Brazos . The semi custom seems pretty good for the price

Looked at it years ago and now again...wonder what the feedback would be on popples with 9mm Major on boxed (BlackDot, AA) ammo would be.....just do not have time to reload at all.

  8. Hmm.  I sent a few inquiries out but had zero responses and after 4 days am less optimistic.  MPA actually responded within minutes....  Now if USPSA Limited Optics were a "real" thing my decision would be clear.

  9. Looking for an "economical", new 9mm Major Open pistol.  Contemplating a BUL UR or MPA Open design.  The BUL is significantly less than the MPA, but the MPA shares all 19/2011 parts vs top end of the Bul.

Any insights or experiences (including customer service) on which would shoot flatter, reliably, etc?  I would be using boxed 9mm Major (BlackDot, AA) for awhile until I commit the time fully to get back to reloading and work schedules change.

i grip my gun, so i don't use gas pedals, bue the eeman-tech slide stops seem well made. to avoid anything snapping mid-match, I have a major-match slide stop and an 'everything else (practice and locals)' slide stop. when the practice one breaks, i'll get a new major match one, and switch the old one over for practice.

Thanks.  That is assuming metal fatigue vs inclusions, quality of the item, etc.  Curious if all are using same tooling steel or another annealing metal etc that will have a longer endurance.

  11. Having had Tanfo SS snap mid match, and knowing the design, what is currently the "best" slide stops in terms of material used and design that have endurance?  I am moving to CO so possibly those that have gas pedals are any different from the standard production set up?

  12. Screw was already removed.  No change.  I blue liquided all my screws once set anyway.

Well, I changed the trigger bar spring, the reduced trigger spring, polished the bar and the frame....seems to have done the trick (well, one of them did).

Spring in the right spot? It's easy for the leg to slip into the wrong spot. As well, if you have a pretravel screw in it, you may need to shorten it, as it can bind on the spring leg and cause that very issue

Both are good.  Like the bar is dragging on the frame sort of feel.  Strange.

Recently acquired a NOS SP01 Shadow.

I installed the full CGW kit, and all went well accept for the trigger reset.  The mechanics of the reset are fine, and all works as it should but I have to nudge the trigger forward as it seems the trigger return spring is not pulling the bar?  Spring looks fine, disco looks to be allowing DA engagement etc…just seems like the trigger is dragging on reset.  The trigger bar spring is not bent and the screw is fully seated….
