  1. $40.00. yes it does include screws, however The heads on the screws are not an ideal fit. they stick up just a tad. Unfortunately, due to the the hardware screw thread Smith uses, common gun screws won't fit. As far as using a file, I would suggest you send the slide to me and let me machine it on the correct radius to match the sight. I can also build a lug into the adapter that will fill the void between the rear of the sight and the slide notch. It will cost a tad more, but I think it would be worth it in the long run. as far as refinishing the slide, the machined area will not be visible when the sight is installed, so refinishing would be optional.
  2. Just going to throw this out for any who may be in need. I built some mounts for a couple friends, so since I already have the programming I can build more. Unfortunately, the sight has to be mounted on top of the slide because it will not fit into the cut out because of screw location. I can also do a small amount of machining on the slide and mount it in the cut out, but this will require the slide be refinished and may interfere with the light sensor on the dp pro.
  3. I dont know about steel challenge, but I heard someone was told no in the NSSF matches for short barrel.
  4. This is going to be a great match. Lots of really fast shooters have registered.

  10. I have been working with Shoot'n Score it the past few weeks. They have done a very good job of setting up their system to take online registrations and payments via paypal for nssf matches. They have a scoring system in place with all NSSF penalties supported. You can print score sheets, stages, and all stats. you can enter scores via internet. In my case,, I will be taking registrations and payments on SSI and importing to practiscore for scoring on ipads. As soon as I figure out how to make the import work. LOL
  11. I guess, I would probably go with what the shooters want on this. I like the idea of a Pro Class because I think it adds a lot of opportunity to the sport. again as an option. I see the plus side to either way on the prize table, but it's really not up to me.
  12. When the rule change forms come about, You can submit for that rule change. What you say about round count and lowering the cost is very true. However, I would not support that rule myself if for no other reason, I want beginning and newer shooters to have ample opportunity to complete a course of fire. Plus, I miss a lot myself.
  13. Sorry, I will clarify as I use Practiscore as well. We set up 5 stages and shoot all 5 stages with up to 3 different guns for a total of 15 stages if you count it like you do. However, I set up practiscore with all conventional divisions and add Rim Open Rifle, Rim Lim Rifle, Rim Open Pistol, Rim Lim Pistol. I then have shooters to register and squad for each division they shoot. In this way, all guns are scored separately. You can see what I mean if you look at the scores at http://www.oldfortgunclub.com/organized-shooting-sports/steel-challenge/2015-match-results/march-steel-2015/. Those who shot multiple guns are listed multiple times.
  14. At Club matches - I always set up 5 stages, with 5 targets. I do not move the box or targets. I allow people to shoot with pistol only, rifle only, or both if they want to save some ammo. I score the guns individually to accommodate. I use 3/8 plates and allow centerfire handguns as well. I generate a lot of people in this way and our club matches usually average 50 or more. The way I see it, the more versatility I can add to my club match the more people I can get hooked on the game. I do not advertise my Monthly club match as an NSSF match because of these deviations. but a whole lot of NSSF shooters show up for it, As well as ladies wanting some extra practice with their CC gun. Of course these ladies usually become NSSF shooters once I put my Buckmark in their hands.
  15. Dwight. To be fairly done there has to be a split between open and limited entries. So, the pay out is based on the number of entries in that division not between combined divisions. Basically I am saying limited class money needs to stay in limited class as well as the open class staying in open class. Yes, There will likely be fewer limited entries so therefore first place will pay less. but that is a decision the shooter has to make and still yet, the payback for winning in limited still stands to be a greater return than walking the prize table for a donated rifle. Also, and I have seen many times where a contestant asks if a person is shooting what class before they register so they will make a decision on whether or not to shoot that class based on who they think they can beat. So, you may see the limited pro class grow due to some pro shooters believing they stand a better chance of a check shooting Limited. Also, There will have to be be some match fees deducted for match function at least the first few years, maybe indefinitely but this should not be more than the amateur match entry. so it breaks down like this 10 entries in limited class at $200 = $125 after deduction = $1250.00 = $937 for 1st place $313 for 2nd place and that is without any added money. Again, I am only thinking out loud here because I know nothing about how it is going to be set up. But I do see some potential here and would like to know what it would take to make it work.
  16. Gentleman, I think before we all go half cocked we really need to learn the particulars of the situation. The pro's of what a pro am may do and the cons. We need to know the scope of why it may be beneficial to all of us and why it may be harmful. I agree, the guys who put in the time all year long deserve a reward for performance at the end of the year. But, what if.... instead of first place paying a new 10-22 it paid several thousand dollars? What type of factory sponsored shooters and factory sponsorship's might this bring into the sport. Bring the big names and in comes the TV coverage. then the sport will explode. Or people can be so off put by the idea that their negativity deters any opportunity of real growth. I do not know the particulars of this pro am concept, so I reserve my opinions until I hear the details, but, I am keeping an open mind about it until I do know the details and I humbly ask you all to do the same. No one wants to hurt this sport. No One wants to change the scope of the sport, but we all want it to grow and to continue to bring new shooters into shooting competitions. This sport as with any shooting sport is dominated by 10% of the shooters. However, its the other 90% that make the sport (The work that the 10% does to promote this sport is amazing, I am not discounting that) The other 90% spend the money and time to come to the World match knowing that they stand no chance of coming home with a top Prize. They do it because they want to be a part of it including shooting with the big names in the game. I know the big names in this game can compete with the best speed shooting names in the world, so lets do what it takes to get them in this game and get our top shooters the notoriety they deserve. I have not been asked but here is what I would suggest for what the pro class should be. (If It is done) $200.00 entry fee 100% of the fee gets paid back in pro class awards. (The first few years the cost of the amateur entry will be retained to cover match expenses) Work hard to find added money as well. Pay 1 place for every 5 entries in each Division (Limited or open) or 1-7 = 1 place 7-12 = 2 places add 1 place every 6 after that. definition of a Pro. Required to be Pro is. Top 3 finisher in any state match (Maybe upgrade this to regional someday by selecting a few of the top performing state matches as regional matches) and top 3 finisher of any past world championship. Any other shooter may elect to go pro, But sponsored shooters, are encouraged to go Pro. Anyway, these are just my thoughts and ideas. I have no authority to implement any such plan, it's just what I think would make the Pro Class worth while. So how can the NSSF make a Pro Class work? or why should they not?
  17. Thanks for the info. I may just steer clear of exporting, at least for a while.
  18. I have a request to ship a 90 degree c-more mount for a 10-22 to Thailand. I have researched and I can't find anything that prevents sending non-military firearm accessories to foreign countries. Does anyone know if It is legal to ship this type part over seas? Does anyone know where I can find the law that allows or dis-allows this?
  19. Thank you! I think they work very well. It gives an amazing cheek weld.
  20. While I was at work today I decided I would sell my colt python to put towards a new cnc mill. I was thinking I could probably get a little more for it than I could if I sold my AR. well, it turned out my safe queen was a special 500 only produced Combat Python. I went to a forum to try and get an current value of it. A guy pm'd me with an offer I couldnt refuse. I had no idea I owned a $10,000.00 pistol! well used to own, he is over nighting me a check!
  21. Thanks, But it is an awesome set up. Break my heart to take it apart.
  22. 2 years ago I put this rifle together. I broke in the barrel and shot maybe 2 matches before I quit shooting multigun. I am considering selling this rifle and would like to know a good asking price as well as where are the best places to try and sell this. Oh yeah, it has a Burris M-tac with their mount. Suggestions please.
