  1. The one that is more round. If you pull the stem 40/10mm is written on one end of the stem. Use the opposite end. The bullet has less room to wiggle when seating and goes in straight. The flat stem, on the side that reads 40/10, allows the bullet to be seated slightly crooked.
  2. Thank you for all the responses. I figured it out - I changed the seating stem. I knew additional crimp wasn’t needed. Any more and I would start indenting the bullet. The Mr Bullet Feeder flare die might be worth looking into but I wanted to make it work with the Dillon die. I didn’t think bullet diameter was an issue. Bullets all dropped through the Hundo (this was a good suggestion). I didn’t think OAL or .401 size was an issue. After all, that’s what the Hundo XL was created for. I got out the sharpie and marked a few cases. It turns out the bullets were seated almost at angle, creating a bulge mid-case. I changed the seating stem to the other profile and the bullets we’re much more concentric. Now they plunk in my Barrel AND the Hundo. Many thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. I’m a new .40 loader but have experience loading plenty of 9mm. 99% of loaded .40 rounds plunk and spin easily in new KKM barrel but when in the Hundo XL roughly 20% will pass the gauge. The 80% that fails needs to be firmly pushed into the Hundo and then, of course, won’t drop free. If I drop the loaded rounds into the Hundo backwards, they easily drop free. So, this leads me to believe the brass isn’t the problem. I process all brass with the Redding GRx die and then size with a Lee U die. I don’t think crimp and flare is the problem. Flare is about .10 - .20 per Dillon Precision’s recommendation. Crimp is simply bullet + 2x case thickness. Bullet is .401 ACME 180 “new” profile. For giggles I ran a few loaded rounds through the GRx. They gauge just fine. So, this is a bullet issue, right? Obviously I can continue to case gauge with my barrel but I’d prefer not to. I’ve had very good success with coated bullets in 9mm and the respective Hundo. It is a huge time saver. Plus, the XL was made specifically for long loaded coated bullets and I spent $100 on it. Plz halp
  5. Code required? I can't find the ad
  6. I've shot both TG and 320 in 9 minor a lot. Both are very good powders. Both were consistent at L2 and L3 chrono like they were at home. The price and availability difference are what people usually argue about. I have a slightly different take: I switched to 320 for the simple fact that I can leave it in the powder hopper without it turning the hopper brown like TG does. This simple change made reloading at my volume much more enjoyable as I could reload a few hundred here and there. With TG I would drain the powder hopper. I still use a lot of TG today but only for periodic batches/loads.
  7. You have to manually lower the hammer. Pick a method and stick with it (I pinch the hammer). Practice dry until your comfortable. Pucker factor was very high for me moving from Glock to Shadow 2. Now it is second nature. Good luck!
  8. I have this problem, too. Magazines bind on the first/last 10% (depending on if inserting or dropping the mag). This occurs with OEM and MecGar mags. We did a little grinding on the internal catch but that wasn't the problem. It would seem that the spring tension is the issue. For now, I simply keep the mag button depressed just a second longer. That seems to allow enough time for the mag to drop cleanly. I'd very much like to hear what other solutions there are.
  9. Peltior Tactical Sport 500 are very nice for the price. Sound quality is nice and very comfortable. I prefer them over Howard sleights, Ear Pro Gold, Walkers.
  10. CZ Shadow 2 135 gr Bayou 1.11 oal 3.4 Titegroup = 135 PF but more smoke than I hoped. 135 gr Bayou 1.11 oal 3.65 N320 = 132 PF very clean.
  11. 135 gr Bayou RN 1.11 oal 3.47 gr N320
  12. MecGar 17s and Springer pads fit the box with Shadow 2 no problem. I confirmed with the box last week.
  13. As of 5/10/17 CZ USA says they have not received 2,000 to date.
  14. 158 SWC from Bayou 3.6 grains Titegroup Medium roll crimp Makes high 700s fps, about 120 PF. Very soft and accurate. I've had no trouble knocking down poppers at an outlaw steel match despite the low PF.
  15. No, I'm doing it too. I shot Lim10 last night and it felt gross.
  16. I've loaded thousands of 158 SWCs from Bayou. I use a medium to light roll crimp with no coating scraping. I found that I got better accuracy with a roll crimp vs taper.
  17. Hand loads. Fed primers.
  18. No, the inside part that falls into the catch on the magazine.
  19. 8.5 CGW hammer spring / 11 CGW recoil spring / CGW TRS / CGW ultralight kit. With the help of a friend, a little grinding on the mag catch. My next modification will be a few cases of Bayous. This gun is a pleasure to shoot.
  20. LOK palm swells for the old timey SP01 were an easy fix.
  21. ^^ you forgot to amortize the cost of the 1050. 20k rounds to break even (vs 115 Tula) But yes, cost isn't the driving factor for most of us. Availability and better quality ammo is the ticket.
  22. .245 works for me with 147s. Confirmed yesterday. What is the height of your current set-up?
  23. H110 was an absolute mess until I switched from the small to large powder bar. Appears reasonably accurate now and with significantly less spillage. Titegroup and Bullseye are the other powders I use. They meter very well.
