My current configuration consists of a 18" rainier's select barrel w/ midlength gas, have syrac adj. mounted.

For S&G's I am wanting to mount iron sights on my mega maten build. I would like to eventually get a lipski adjustable barrel clamp with lyman hood, but too much money for the moment. I already have a LMT detachable rear sight and a troy ind hk style front sight. I plan on mounting the front site behind my sjc titan MB on a (precision reflex ind) PRI gas block w/ single picatinny rail for ar10 dimensions. PRI states, that this GB has a 2 1/2" rail that is the same plane as the armalite receiver. I was told by Mega per email that the plane is the same for both the mega receiver and armalite ar10 receiver. If I am not mistaken isn't the mega maten the dpms high profile? Or are the two profiles the same height(dpms and ar10)? In the responding email they just gave me a quick response with no measurement quotes. LMK thanks. Also post some pics if you are running this style setup ar10 or ar15.

awesome rig. I have an sjc titan on my 308ar and while loud as hell, it is very effective. I can imagine your setup barely moves if that.

nicely done, I really like that lancer tube and Seekins ATC comp.

I have this scope also, so far has not let me down. With the hold over reticle I dont see the point in having exposed turrets/tactical, should have caps IMO. But for three hundred dollars from Wmart, scope will get u in the game. I like mine set on two power, I transition well with close range targets better than the 1x setting. If you go to SWFA.com I think it is $300 but includes a one peice scope mount like the burris pepr mount.

Interesting optic, looks built like a tank.

Rubber City Armory -- Adjustable Gas Key (on the BCG)
george995 replied to TRUBL's topic in Rifle - Technical
gonna have to try this out, was looking into an adjustable gb for my 308ar. I like this because of its price at $45 and if you do not have an adjustable on your rifle you aren't stuck with your original non adj. GB. Parts are good to have on the side for future builds, but say you paid $60 for a vltor originally and now shell out $100 for a syrac or etc., thats $160 (without shipping) you got into Gas blocks. This is assuming from a build standpoint. -
Very nice, I want that grip for my ar pistol build.

Awesome space gun.

I like that it has more commonality with parts of the ar15. Which parts though, handguard and etc? In my mind I can't get past another variation of the 308ar platform though! lol

sjc titan is very effective. edited to add..... May not be the lightest but should be a good compromise IMO.

Most Accurate 308 Semi-Auto AR Pattern Rifle

agreed, love my maten build. Everyone once in awhile I think about building another bolt gun but quickly forget about it. lol -
Where is this exactly, I did a web search with no luck.

Another for the SJC Titan, I really like how it tamed my maten 308 build. I had a Spikes Dynacomp mounted before and I noticed a huge improvement when I made the switch. I like Jp's line of muzzle devices also, they all are effective.

What is the best free float hand guard and why?
george995 replied to Joe Mamma's topic in Rifle - Technical
I really like my jp modular handguard( 15"), it mates well with my mega receivers, somewhat light, and have endless options for mounting hardware. I also love the diameter of the tube, its perfect for guys who do not use forward grips, smaller width is easier to grip. -
I have both, I favor the lancers over the PMAGS do to added reliability with metal feed lips. Waiting patiently for Lancer to produce a sr25 patterned 308ar magazine to compete with magpul.

Same here, I think it looks pretty cool. Price negates purchase from me though, to high IMO.

You should definitely try a heavy buffer. I had goodluck with one from Clint over at Heavybuffers.com. I am running an A2 receiver extension, the 308ar rifle buffer is around 10oz. Product worked very well, I am looking into adding an adjustable gas block next. http://www.heavybuffers.com/

Lancer Advanced Warfighters

Lancer mags are sexy, I really want them to develop a sr25 patterned magazine. Preferably like their translucent smoke mags. -
I have a mega maten build with a rainier's select 18" barrel that shoot's 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards. With my loads consisting of 178 A-max projectiles and IMR 4895. http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=2690 Not my first choice, but a friend suggested one of these due to his experience. I am happy that I followed his suggestion.
