  1. Match is over. Rain made day two interesting, but the shooters were troopers and the ROs were great. I hope everyone had fun and it seemed like the large majority found the stages to be simple, fun, and challenging.
  2. Thank you. I would absolutely HATE if I thought I did well by inadvertently gaining an advantage due to not paying close enough attention. On the cart stage, I DID get two procedurals for not paying close enough attention to which birdshot targets had to be shot from the cart.....so I thought it was a definite possibility. All said and done.......I was excited to have fun at this match, but being a shotgun only match, I had moderate expectations. I loved it! The RO's were awesome, fun, and encouraging to be around. Wyatt (young Powers), I owe you a beer when you get older! Joe Harris, count me in for next year!
  3. Good liquid pain relief or that crappy "lite" stuff? Don't forget to share after the shooting is done for the day.
  4. Can't find ther like button.... Keep in mind, I love rifle shooting, but get bored with too much rifle hosing. Come prepared or bring cash to buy rifle ammo from your friends! Craig, you're gonna have more fun at the match as long as you remember all your heart meds and your Bengay. :-)
  5. how much .22 ammo ya got? haha add pistol powder, rifle powder, and unicorn steaks.....you got a deal!
  6. never remember hearing an ounce limit....just shot size. I even made sure to ask if there was a FPS limitation since mine were 1500fps. I made sure to double check with the RO before shooting the stage, and on both spinner stages there were several Remington and Federal live rounds that were 1-1/4 oz 7.5's laying around.
  7. Federal Pheasants Forever 7.5's kinda pricey, but you only have to shoot a pheasant once with them! Were those 1-1/8 oz loads? believe so.....may have been 1-1/4oz Before I shot the stage, I made sure to show the RO the shells and box. After the stage, the RO took a picture of the box. haha
  8. Federal Pheasants Forever 7.5's kinda pricey, but you only have to shoot a pheasant once with them!
  9. My good buddy Jay Carillo was good enough to take some video of me and loan me some slugs for my mulligan on stage 18. We were on squad 1, and apparently I shoot better at the END of the day, getting stage wins on stages 9 and 18. I'm afraid some of the other stages may not have been as pretty of they are on camera!
  10. There is 110v power at the pavilion. Trailer parking is going to be......interesting. CMMG has started playing with rock climbing/jeep off-roading and has rock piles where we used to park. There is still plenty of parking space, just really big curbs between vehicles that are guaranteed to elongate door dings!
  11. I have been made to understand that I should wear a cup, chin guards, and a helmet Friday for my protection. I think I'm gonna rent an armored vehicle to sit in.....and LAUGH AND LAUGH! :-)
  12. Finished 6th in standard and had a blast at my first Rockcastle shotgun match. Big thanks to Joe for putting a great match on, and thank you to all of the sponsors who helped make the match great.
  13. I used 7.5's and turned it in one shot without a problem, don't know what you all are complaining about! ;-) Confirmed with the RO before AND after shooting that they were 7.5's on the box and shells. I do have a spinner at home, so I've had a little practice.
  14. I had Federal Mag Shok #6's packed......I hear ya.I'll trade some buck or slugs for some. If you have enough.Took them out of the car, otherwise you coulda had some.
  15. I'm another that will be hoping for a spring match in 2015 so I can come back! Mark puts on a great match!
  16. Did you notice that you typed "Saiga" and "always runs" in the same sentence? I guess you haven't seen me shoot before. I've seen a couple R&R's that ran well......just having a little fun bustin ur balls.
