I was pleased to hear the worst thing anyone could say about our AM ROs was they were too lenient. You made the right call. Don't let some novice setting on the sidelines enjoying the fruits of you labor make you second guess a good call. I am glad the shooter got to finish the match. Kurt sorry for all the drama I did not call a DQ for several reasons 1 the shot landed farther than 9 feet also he was not holdinging the gun upside down if it had went off while loading upside down it would have left his hands he was holding it with his strong hand and transitioning his weak hand to the forearm i was 2 feet away I did not feel that i should have stopped the shooter. I have RO for 16 years and have worked a lot of major matches and never had any issues with calls. hope to see you next year.

just to clarify the situation he was holding the shotgun with his strong hand and was reaching for some shells the shot landed more than 9 ft in front of him it did not make a differance who he was I have DQ several top shooters yes this was close but it was not a DQ
